im no great PvP player, so i can suggest a build that would work, but one thing you need on any armor is the "impenetrable" trait.
critical resistance is needed for PvP, since players can hit critical, what npc's dont do. you get that from trait on armor and your cp.
the sets depend on your role and playstyle. but as mentioned, im no regular PvP player, just run with a group sometimes ;)
If you are new to the game just play it untill level 160 the way you like and then check up some guides.
Gear drops for you in your Level if you are level 25 you get a piece in level 25.
And it can drop in 4 qualities (gold does not drop).
From worst to best is: White, green, blue, purple and gold. You can find the stuff for upgrading your gear by deconstructing gear in that colour, by doing the daily crafting writs or by refining raw materials (this is the only way to get gold materials aside from buying it)
You can not change the level of your gear, so the best is to make a gear decision at CP 160, this is the max level.
With a good inventory managment you can get along without plus. You will only want to keep crafting stuff for level 1 or level 50 don't keep the things in between and don't set your points for the skills untill you have maxed out.
