ESO vs ES5
I've never played an elder scrolls game and normally even if i do play an MMO i usually play solo. With both ESO and ESV on sale I'm wondering if anyone can give any quick comparisons as to why i might pick one over the other?

eso is great for solo play i highly recommend getting it while it's on sale and trying it and if you don't like it you can always get a refund and get skyrim instead most of my 1000+ hours have been spent alone :)

Are you able to give any comparable differences? These games take hundreds of hours to play so torn between which one to pick and why?

Go for Skyrim. I love this game but if you've never experienced an Elder Scrolls go for one of the single player ones.
Morrowind is my favorite but it's a bit dated. Oblivion is pretty good. Skyrim is the one that made the series insanely famous.

skyrim is as dated as previous elders scrolls games, the only real thing holding its relevance is the mods. Like rule34 for overwatch

id probably have a lot more respect for skyrim if it stayed on the original release, re-releasing the game a bunch of times gave a very bad taste in my mouth in a sense that they do it for the money, if they really cared we would have elder scrolls 6 by now

I can't imagine playing ESO without playing Skyrim first. It makes Tamriel much more understandable and familiar. It's fun going back to the same cities in ESO and knowing your way around. You should play ES3 (Morrowind) and ES4 (Oblivion) as well. You just have to use the graphic updates and other fixes from modders for those two. Morrowind is still my favorite game because of the Levitation spell it had. None of those pesky cliffs and mountains ever got in my way. They used a lot of the assets from the solo games in ESO so it seems like coming home.

If you can stil buy the old skyrim instead of the new one. The old is better because it have around 50000 community free mods. We can almost say the game is endless. The newer skyrim you have to buy bethesda creator pack, and there is a lot less mods. But, Elder scroll online is as good as skyrim for what I have read, but different in quest and story.
But the new Skyrim is 64bit and is far more stable and performance friendly.

Many of the popular mods have been updated to SSE (64 bit). Nexus has a section for just SSE. You do not need to join or use creation kit mods.

In my opinion get ES:V you'd get much more enjoyment from it then ES:O I hardly enjoyed the online game and to be honest for Skyrim Special Edition you can get the Skyrim Together (multiplayer) mod and bunch of other mods I don't get the hype for ESO itself it feels boring compared to skyrim but if you like the singleplayer of Skyrim you can get the Online ESO later since it's only under 10 euros right now
