Taking a Serious Break (PVP broken)
I have almost 4,000 hours into this game and have to say PVP is in shambles. I love ESO, the combat flow, the resource based systems, the build diversity, the scenery its all great.

What's not great are the broken, not broken UTTERLY BROKEN "META" build that can literally face tank groups and ass-clap entire teams 1 by 1 by 1. All of my friends hate playing with me, despite my futile efforts and countless hours and gold spent swapping builds and load-outs to suit our group's play style.

To top it off, break-free almost never works, despite having full stamina bar. Pull/leap abilities constantly bug out and simply...DON'T WORK. Bar swapping never really works in PVP combat (works great in PVE) and several other combat-crucial mechanics just flat break and don't feel right. The game didn't used to be this way, but it is now.

We just did a battleground and a broken Dragon Knight went 47-0. Now I don't claim to be the BEST player, but my GOD balance this freaking game. Its so bad. Lets not forget the 15-20+minute Battleground que only to get utterly DESTROYED by a broken build. God help you if an entire 4 man team is running 4 broken builds. The holy "trinity" of tank/dps/heals is wrapped up in one comfortable package and every patch it just rotates to a new build. Force players to PICK a play style and not have everything, its ridiculous. PVP is not fun anymore (it used to be) and i find myself more frustrated than enjoying the game. The best pvp seems to be in NON-CP NON-PROC Cyrodiil/Imperial city, but even then the ZERG always wins.

I just cancelled my reoccurring sub, ill be taking my money ELSWEYR (haha I made a funny). Anyway, I just need a long break from ESO. The PVP is in bad shape right now. I don't enjoy PVE and find myself literally falling asleep in dungeons. it bores me!

These are all my OPINIONS but its honest and how I feel. Make fun, agree, hate i don't care. Bottom line my MONEY is going buh bye!

HAVE FUN!

Can I have your stuff? (haha I made a funny)

I suggest you try Guild Wars 2, but if you're gonna try it, make sure to upgrade your acc or you're gonna have miserable experience.

I actually quit a month or so ago aswell for similar reasons, I also got a false ban for 3 days over a weekend for something I never did, like you.. my money goes elswyr and I wont return until I see PvP has serious fixes.

I have also tried guild wars 2 its another waste of time Imo the pvp is not balanced and has got worse there since the last expansion, theres nothing decent around right now im still hunting for something 'new' myself, mmorpg life sucks :/

Theres a few games 'upcoming' but waiting for games now is just meeh. they will release have some hype get trashed by dumb decisions of devs and etc etc etc the circle of ♥♥♥♥♥♥ continues.

Imagine playing an MMORPG game for PvP, lmao.

In any case, you are absolutely wrong;

- "Combat flow" implies that there is a structure to PvP, there isnt one. Its just mindless button mashing to dish out most damage in the smallest time possible. For Honor is a game that has combat flow, for example. Absolver is another example(though both are terrible games still).

- Resources are a joke, there is no gameplay-effecting distinction between a magicka character and a stamina character. And it will get even more ridiculous with the coming hybridization bullmanure. As an example again, in WoW, you had different resources for every character, that actually effected their playstyle. Warriors had to be constantly in battle and throw everything they have constantly to utilize their resource better, whilst rogues had to wait for the most opportune moments to be able form combos for maximum efficiency.

-On top of that, there is no statplay in this game, makes how the resources work even more faulty. Just because you maxed your magicka, you can heal as efficiently as if you are a healer. Results with everyone using the "best of everything" copy-paste builds. You know, Vampirism for unlimited invisibility with no counter(some fanboy sweat-kid now will reply with "bUt tHeRe aRe ReVeAl SkiLs"), Heavy Armor for tankiness without any tradeoff, Bow for broken ranged posion proc, dual daggers for one hit insta-kills. Literally almost everyone in Battlegrounds uses this exact same build. So much for "Build Diversity".

Most people who plays PvP in this game are only doing so because of the random daily xp gain, and the rest of the PvP playerbase are your usual pathetic sweat-kid minority. You know, the ones who use AWP in CSGO or LeBlanc/Yasuo in LoL and think they are genius level professional players but actually all they are doing is exploiting the broken game balance? Yeah.

PvP in ESO is a bloated joke, and nothing else.

Well when they ban every PvPer that gives honest input and doesn't stream on YT to pay their bills in their trailer parks, then you get what they give.

Examples are plaguebreak being added to discourage purge spam, when purge could have been given a cooldown or they remove the ridiculous heal component that made it a one button spam for healing and purifying in the first place.

ZOS wants to balance the game throughs sets, but forgets that things that are overtuned like Warden's Crystalized Shield that can still reach over 150K shielding of "projectiles", Necro healer pet that can heal over 20k ticks, living dark that can heal over 18k each tick, etc. the list is endless.

I can tell you that on live right now I run builds that are immortal and kill people, and it's so so incredibly sad. Zero skill needed...but that is also why I say that PvP in the game is trash as well - it is.

It's not PvP, but build v build. The outcome is decided before you even encounter the person, esp. if you are wearing bugged sets, mythics ZOS won't nerf, and arena weapons on a "hybrid" .

You can tank 50+ on live again or maybe even more, no idea since there was no threat of dying on my templar or necro while they kept dropping.

they have announced the game is being re-coded to fix performance:

People have been writing lengthy posts complaining about pvp since launch, with only 1 out of 10 (at best) actually pointing out legit problems. Others just can't figure out why they suck, and would rather write a wall of BS than git gud.

Remember last year when they said they weren't going to do any major updates and focus on fixing their broken game?
Then the first thing they did was make a new CP system? :lunar2019laughingpig:

You people just don't get it. PvP in ESO is never going to be what you want it to be. For PvP to be good it has to be skill based and ESO is as far away from skill based as you can get. A game where every class is this tanky, damage dealing, healing juggernaut with no CD on key skills. Give me a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ break. This is a game of numbers not skill.

To be fair, everyone is only a healing juggernaut because of all the powercreep in the game and poor attempts to address it.

The poor attempts to address balance in PvP have only widened the gap between builds and made the problem worse.
bad patch, need more ups for dk and neco, and delete other 4 classes.

I've hardly ever seen so much misinformation in one place. Nice word salad.

Ah, the fanboy sweat-kids, finally.

Nice counter argument.
