having trouble getting essence of death

i have beaten 2 bosses via the dungeon finder in game, am i supposed to get essence from these bosses?

It has to be the main boss of any delve or dungeon, the TOP boss of the delve.

I think I have discovered the problem you might have been having. This event sucks. There are so many people and groups waiting on every anchor and WB that your chances of actually doing enough damage to get credit for a kill are negligible. Killed 2 anchors, 1 WB and 2 delve bosses, got credit on 2 of them. Screw this event, I'm just playing for the extra xp.

just do a random delve (on the map it looks like a torch) kill the "main boss" there and you get one

the event was ok, the free xp is good for lower end toons, the skins....so-so. ok for mages, crap for tanks

If troubles with essence of death, try to kill delve boss in unexplored delve. Delve = dungeon, with torch mark on map. Since those normally have just one boss and loot limit (you cant farm one delve boss round by round like wb, those drop loot only once with few hours cd), should be easy.

Skulls drops from all bosses: wb, ancors, dungeon, public dungeon, group dungeon, trials... but chance isnt 100%. More like ~50%.

If you're good at stealth, you can easily farm delves by running through mobs and kill just bosses.

I just went to a delve and cleared it. Go clear a delve.

Go to Stonefalls and most Dugeons have bosses which will give you essence. I got it from there only.

what boss can I beat if I am level 14?
