enjoy your 30 min wait times muahahahahhahaha
this will not happen even if it will be possible to queue as duo with your companion.
The difference in numbers between dds and healers or tanks is too big to be covered so easily. Tank and heal queues will still be instant.
Also if it gets bad, ZOS will just nerf DPS even more than they already do now.
I've seen a few tests with companions, and I think that this is definitely true for tanks. The companions kept dropping their block too early and kept getting themselves killed even with a player constantly heaiing them. For healers, companion builds seem to be very strong (about 50% stronger than a RIng of Pale Order from what I saw).
That said, if tank or healer companions are too strong, Zenimax will nerf them. Again, the explicitly stated goal is that they _shouldn't_ be a better choice than a random player.
What I'd be concerned about, are the repercussions of companions on the queueing system. Players might queue with a tank or healer companion in their group to get faster through the queue, and that would indeed increase queueing times for players with those roles. Even with companions being weaker than players, some players may prefer the companion as "good enough" if it gets them faster through the queue. The queueing system might need some adjustments to address that. (It could use an overhaul anyway, imho.)
I know that you're hoping for some way to keep the RoPO useful for the vampire build you're playing, but my impression is that you're putting way too much hope in the extremely small chance of Zenimax going against their stated goals. That said, I could be wrong of course. I haven't seen anyone actually _testing_ it yet, possibly because no one sees a reason why it _wouldn't_ apply the penalty in the first place.
for magica its limited to sorc, since they have their surge,
currently briarheart is exclusive for stamina players, but after blackwood release briarheart will scale also with magica so non-sorc magica users can have fair sustain without pale order as well.
pale order makes you able to push that frenzy to 20 seconds, meanwhile without it you will stop around 10 seconds, with healer in group you can stretch it to 15, but not very consistent ;D
so pale order nurf does not kill vampire gameplay, in 4 people group its sitll 8% healing
companion is not topic for trials gameplay, its just for fast dungeons trolling
