Personally in the last weeks I liked sets with a little extra effect. Like: Mad Tinkerer or Overwhelming Surge.
But it totally depends on your playstyle.
If you're looking for the highest effective spell damage, check on ESO build editor
Additionally you can consider Mantle of siroria or False God
So it is not necessarily good, you need to give more info about your class and build
mad tinkerer is good SOLO set, on group content it makes tank's work harder...
Edit: * if zos suddenly don't decide to nerf critical on launch...
Well as I said, it depends on how you play. Consider Solo/Group, but not everyone has to run the same thing, it might not work for everyone.
I'm not good with Vamps, I'd say just try them and see for yourself. Maybe check Hack the Minotaur, he has a couple of vamp buils, maybe he has a nice idea for you.
And, yeah, fair point, maybe wait until the update before making changes.
MS + Medusa for overland content and pub group content.
with medusa i lose as necromancer 10-12% dps compared to siroria
LoJ is in my opinion just a start set when you just got 160 and spell strategist is a waste of farming time that can be rather put into medusa/siroria.
really that setup? i would think 5 pieces mother sorrow, 5 pieces medusa/siroria, 1 part of a crit monster set and the new mythic (6% crit chance 10% crit damage)
