Sharing some positive ESO moments!
Hey everyone!

As a new player and this being my first week, I've almost gone through Glenumbra (I play really slowly and I've had a few days off to zone out!), and I thought it would be fun to share some cool moments from the game - something I get rarely out of games in general.

So my top 3 for me will be:
1-Arriving in Daggerfall my second day and spending the day in the city just walking around, doing a few quests and taking in the scenery - but mostly my bearings. It was quite daunting to get around but I've gotten a good compass since - except for the southern part with the castle which I still fumble with. Talking to NPC's and ravaging those bookcases and trying to take in everything. As I said in an earlier thread, being noobish to Elder Scrolls in terms of lore it was a bit of an onslaught at the beginning but it is startibng to make a lot more sense!

2-Day 4 I'm questing but i also have all these quests taking me out of zone... I still go to grab a wayshrine and tell myself i'll come back later. I know understand these are the "Prologue quests" which bring me to DLC content so not in a hurry. I finally OPEN THE WORLD MAP. :O Just looking at Glenumbra and the zone list... I shed a tear for fear. I know some people say the world is really small but maybe it's because they don't play in first person and walk around much? Oh, and I went back to Stros M'Kai to get a last skyshard I was missing and it was tiny! :) I still need to get Betnhik done though - I think the tutorial/size progression makes a lot of sense in the 3 steps though - tutorial island, Stros M'Kai and then a bigger island before running off to your starter zone. AND looking on the map you see it makes perfect sense geographically as well as you see the path the boat took to get from little point A to big C (capital!)!

3-Day 5 I slowly move around the southern part of Glenumbra and off the coast... no other players are around - in fact In haven't seen any in quite a while - and I see this island off the coast with old ruins.... i go there.... the sun is coming up and everything is so still and quiet. I feel like I'm the first person to discover this island! I fish and grab some resources. My excitement is a little tarnished when I find a latch to a dungeon but the E to open is greyed out. :( I've found a few of these - I figure it's a quest not related to a delve. The island is Denmoor Ruins (sp?). This was actually really fun and the last time I felt "on vacation during winter" was when I played Far Cry 3 back in the day (the quieter moments).

I then decided to go with ESO+ for the crafting bag because it was getting really annoying to manage. My biggest grippe is the speed at which I'm levelling. I'm after Camlorn in Glenumbra and have done half the delves and the public dungeon and I'm already level 22. Way too fast.

I need to find a guild now I think.

Well feel free to share your fun/exciting/exploration moments!

The fighters guild questline I really enjoyed. I was in absolute awe when I finally made it to the heart of the Earth Forge and I actually felt a little bit sad when it was all over and done.

There so much to see and do and I love how the majority of the main quest chains are so different :)

After so many hours playing this game, your description of the first few days exploring made me smile. Ive just started a new character so I can experience it all over again!

Your post picked my interest and really made me relate, so I decided to share my experience too.
After spending so much time in TESO I have done many Quest and travelled all over Tamriel and beyond and yet it still feels like there is so much more to explore and do.
I mainly do PvE and rarely engage in PvP except the occasional World Boss or a Dungeon run.

This means I spent vast majority of my time exploring a zone until I knew every nook and cranny of that particular zone.
This includes doing even the minor quests, the zone quests, finding all the lorebooks and skyshards, gaining access to all wayshrines, all the while avidly gathering ressources and simply enjoying the scenery of the respective zone.

It's amazing how many different ways there are to play this game and even after many years there are still a lot of things you can do or discover.
My current goal is to complete the whole map (currently still missing part of Morrowind, Cyrodil, Skyrim) and maybe, once I'm done, I'll pursue another goal or try out PvP for real.

my fun moments are those when i farm those sacred expensive items like inferno staff of mother's sorrow which is worth about 200k gold in guild stores

Nice to see I'm not the only one enjoying my time exploring as I keep hearing about max level and PVP. :) I am also mainly PVE and try to slowly work through it all. The only weird design decision seems to be the lorebooks which spawn/change locations? I don't get why this wasn't done like the shards. \_o_/ I think I should be able to complete Glenumbra next week and move on to.... I dunno! Looking forward to finding out. :)

I'm also quite curious about the thieving but besides grabbing lockboxes here and there I'll get to it later when reaching... Anvil I think. And the Antiquity stuff too.. bah 2022! :P

Lets see.
2 years ago when I started playing this game, my first mmorpg, with so much to learn I went to a place called the "A'likir dessert" to explore. I happened upon a dolmen, the "Assad? Stables" and decided I would wait for it as there were some other players there to help, ( yes I was very much a noob). Well the worms came up and we attacked. But something strange began to happen. More and more players started showing up and all of a sudden it was like a freaking flash flood of players. I backed away and thought "what the hell" and I watched. The entire area became wall to wall players trying to get a hit on one of the dadrea popping up. Even the big guy that Molag Bol (who was bragging this and bragging that) sent in melted the instant it became solid enough to take a hit.
I stood there laughing my ass off going "this is Awesome" Wow!
Then the players got their chest and they all flowed away, leaving dead bodies strung all around. I stayed around for two more rounds, just to watch, before moving on.
haha Watching that scene was probably the most memorable moment in ESO for me.

I remember my second time doing the EP quest chain, after the starter island you come to Bal Foyen (an Argonian settlement and a fortified outpost) and at one point you have to decide to choose between two mutually exclusive choices: who do you gonna help defend from an attack of the covenant forces.

On my first through character (which was my old EP sorcerer) I went with one of the choices, so when I reached my second time through that quest with my AD character (at that time you had to wait until you were veteran rank and take Caldwell offer to be sent there :P) I decided to see what happened if you took the other choice...

I don't want to spoil anything, so I'll keep it vague... When all it's done and finished, and I had to confront the consequence of my decision... and I have to say that I was shocked by the result (sad that I cannot say more without spoiling!) and took a screenshot[1] of that moment as a remainder to never ever pick that choice again on future characters :`(

You are definitely playing the game the right way in my humble opinion - it is massive and awesome and the quests are really interesting if you allow yourself to become part of the world.

And don't worrying about fast leveling, I have 1500+ and am at lvl 680 where it caps out at 810  :)
