Map mods question?
Hi

I'm coming back to ESO after a long time away.
I've played since Beta on and off.
I used to have a modes that showed Lore Books and Sky Shards locations on the map.

They are still there and show as out of date now, I selected allow out of date mods but they don't show up in the game.

Is there a new equivalent and if so where do I get them, I looked at Nexus but don't see them.

Thanks for the help.

Mike

The mods do work. You can download the updates manually or Download minion and it'll update the mods automatically.
For library pieces and sky shards use map pins.

For crafting supplies, use harvest map.

Add-Ons:
1. Install Minion Add-On Manager - this alone can be difficult
2. Use Minion to add the following:
- BeamMeUp
- HarvestMap
- LoreBooks
- LostTreasure
- Map Pins
- pChat
- Skyshards
- TamrielTradeCenter
- Votan's MiniMap
- PotionMaker
3. Consider the following:
- LuiExtended (or similar)
- LightAttack Helper (or similar)
- FCMQuestTracker (similar tool broken)
- CombatMetrics

Thanks for the information I forgot about Minion and was using Vortex.
I'll give it a try.

Hi
I've reinstalled Minion, I've used it to locate the the lore book and update everything, and I found the Lore Book in the default location, the mods appear in the game list but don't appear on the map.

I copied the Addons folder to the game the Zenimax directory where the game is installed and located it again using Minion and when I go in the game is shows that they are active in the Add On list but when I open the game the stuff doesn't show?

I'm in Glenumbra, anyone have any idea, the game is installed in the Steam directory, it's detected by Minion, and it see all the mods and lists them?

I reinstalled the game, in the default directory, that got rid of all the mods.

I reinstalled Minion, I downloaded all the mods again.
I ran Minion, it detected the game, and shows that it installed all the mods I wanted really only Sky shards and Lore books, when I opened the game there was nothing in the Addons list in the game showing.

I give up.

You also have to download and drop in the libraries that those mods require. I recommend doing it manually from esoui getting every library for all your mods and then install minion to keep them up to date. I had like 26 mods in my download folder and half of them were libraries.

Read ESOUI desriptions for correct libraries.

if you look at the lorebook add on in minion, it will say you need these five other libraries/addons

LibAddonMenu-2.0

LibCustomMenu

LibGPS

LibMapPins-1.0

CustomCompassPins

Search for them in minion and install them as well

Pretty sure I have all those but I will check again.
I down't loaded all the stuff it asked for.

Here's what I see...
And the list goes on and on.

Let me know if you see what's wrong.
It seems that if I was doing it wrong it wouldn't tell me they were installed.

Have you set the game to "Allow Out of Date Add-Ons" ?

There is a Add-Ons Menu in Game (listed below Settings and Controls).

Open the Add-Ons Menu - all in-game add-ons recognized by the game will be listed.
At the top of this screen is a Box to "Allow out-of-date Add-Ons" - you need to select this and Reload UI (either select at bottom of Add-On Screen or type "/reloadui" in chat window.

Once UI is reloaded - check you add-ons - the color of the add-on indicates if it is active. RED add-ons are not active either because they are turned off or Missing a dependency (like a LIB) - so figure that out.

Once you've checked all that - get back to us.
You gotta turn them on on character selection screen.

1. In your character select menu choose "addons" like shown in this screenshot

https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2387667149

2. make sure you note that the box at the top right is clicked ("allow out of date addons")

3. then look for lorebooks to see if it's selected, you can also click the arrow beside it to make sure you have all the required libraries as well

That's the problem nothing shows in that screen since I reinstalled.
Even though Minion says that they are installed and up to date the screen is blank.

Minion shows the game detected as you see and it has the correct location of the Add-Ons folder shown.

Before I reinstalled the Add-Ons did show in that window but not work.
I reinstalled everything and now nothing.

In minion, when you click options (top right) what is the location it shows for your addon folder?
