I'm not sure if those boasts had any factual basis and I don't know what the actual price of crowns was/is in South America, but I've _have_ seen people boasting around, so that would be my first guess.
21k crown went up from 2100ars to 5200! really 2.4x is rly high in any currency
i as a usual crown consumer for collectibles, Can't rly afford to buy anythung anymore :)
Not trying to take away from the issue because it seems bad. But considering the prices now, is it worth considering subscribing instead? You get 1600 crowns up front for every month you subscribe plus all the other benefits.
i'm always doing sub for 6months plus, but 9900 crowns for 6month? can't even buy 2 15x crate with that
I believe you when say that it is a lot of money for Argentinians (presumably 5200 ars are harder to obtain for an Argentian, then $150 for a US player). And any price hike obviously sucks for the customers. But see below.
That depends. If Zenimax thinks that South American crown sellers _reduce_ the amount of crowns that get sold in the US, then - seen purely from a business perspective - raising the price in South America, while perhaps reducing profits in South America, might increase profits in the US by a bigger margin.
It's all hypothetical though. Zenimax hasn't made any announcement about this as far as I have seen, and for all we know, it could be just a mistake. I'm just saying that I can see a valid economical reason why it might not be.
Just all of us need to make sure not to buy then they will decrease the price when they realise they get 0 sales lol
Exactly, they will have to increase it very soon guys don't worry.
