Perfect Roe
I have spent the entire day working on my Master Angler Achievement. I have 1100 fillets after skinning the fish, not a single roe. What is the drop rate for people these days?

I have heard .08% (maybe it was .8%) is the norm now according to zone chat. Am I really just this unlucky here?

Am I doing it wrong? I just spam E on the stack of whatever white fish, occasionally leaving the menu to see what I got so far. Is there a method to this madness? Should I perhaps not shave the beard or wash the socks and get superstitious? Send help.

It's ok, we all have been there. You are doing exactly what is meant to be done to get Perfect Roe. It's just RNG. On a separate note, I heard the drop rate of Perfect Roe is 1% or 1 in 100 fish, but my info is old and I didn't check for new info beyond UESP.net. I barely fish, so I can't complaint that I barely got 2 in the last 6 years (of which I played proper since a month after the worldwide lockdown started, so 1 year & 2 months). Keep the faith and good luck. At least you are doing the grind while many of us just look at it like "nah". Be proud.

P.S: Use Votan's Fish Fillet to automate the filleting task. Is a time and hassle saver.

Random npc be like: "I'm not superstitious, it brings bad luck."
I don't know for sure, but I think it's random, you just have to be lucky. However check what the others will say.

I have no idea what the drop rate is (I get my roe by other means), but just wanted to point out - if the drop rate is really .08%, then you'd need (on average) 1250 attempts per roe, so skinning 1100 fillets without getting one would be well within expectations.

you get 1 in 100... i would suggest you to try 100 every day... Its anyways a rarity so drop rate will be bad and i don't think there is any way to improve the Luck stat anyways :)

From what I have read, the drop rate for perfect roe, on a cleaned fish, goes up with each person fishing on the spot with you. So my idea is that you must be fishing with someone, maybe 2 more people, to increase your chances of getting fish with perfect roe inside.

Its like the loot in the loot bag is already rolled for, you just have to open it.

People join fishing guilds to fish together, both for these increased chances of rare items and for social, so, look that up

"drop rate" is 100% at a guild store.

True that. Usually around 32k.

When I first started fishing - around 4 months ago, I got 6 perfect roes in 3 days. Since then I've not got a one. To be fair the 3 days I spent fishing at every spot I came across and now I just fish if I've got a break in the action. But basically RNG is a a whole.

i have a tracker, my perfect roe chance is like 1%
Its totally random drops but i think there is an activation method to drops.
Like how fast you press skin an how you can change from fish to fish to get 'more' lucky. i.e create a pattern of different fish skinning. 2 of one 3 of another etc.

Basically its an algorithm same as harrowstorm rituals sites.
Apparently drops are more regular in you own alliances grounds/maps. I think that the fish might have secret tags on them when you mine um.

you have better luck at night, and depend on your race.

Only a thought based on absolutely nothing. But wondered if they've nerfed the drop rate a bit because you can now put CPs into the fishing skill.

mornin', nice day for fishin' aye? he ha

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yBl2FLEU9Xs

drop rate is random, even if some statistics say 1%, for "you" it can be 0.0000³. rng is a bi...
:lunar2019madpig:

btw, fishing with others, the cp and the arteaum drink/food will only increase the "chance" of droppin' a trophy fish - nothing to do with roe.
