Is it possible when "reconstructing" set pieces at a transmutation station to change the 'weight' of the item? i.e. I want to change a chest pc that I collected in 'medium' to a new weight of 'light' for a new character.

Or am I stuck to reverting back to going out and farming for the weight I want?

In the set collections menu for the monster helms they show 3 slots for the different weights but do not show but one slot for the rest of the armor pieces.

I went to 3 different sites and none of them even mentioned the weight of the armor.

So is it possible?

Nope.. there is no way to change the armor from Light to Medium to Heavy or vice versa

most sets drop only in one armor class - light, medium or heavy ^^ you cant change that :(
