Best heavy sets for surviving in PvP?
I've been trying out a couple sets, and so far only Thews of the Harbinger seemed to increase the time i survive for when being focused down (in battlegrounds), offense is a good defense I guess. I still die but at least I do a considerable damage, and usually someone from my team comes along and wipes all of the attackers who wasted their resources on me, a nice set for sure.
Crimson Twilight heals are pretty bad even with 50k hp. Leeching plate seems promising on paper but I haven't tried it cause good players will probably not stand in a small red circle that heals me.
Explosive rebuke is a big nope, I can get away with light attacks, but charging a heavy while being focused is insta death.
I've been eyeing Crest of Cyrodill and Battalion Defender for that heal, I don't have them tho, and I'm not convinced it would help me more than Thews.

Anyway, what do you guys think, what are the best sets for staying alive (or at least delaying death) when focused? I haven't seen a discussion about this since the Blackwood update.

if you dont have dlcs there's also that heavy set that drops in deshaan but most people grab pariah, at least for cyrodiil, haven't done battlegrounds. though i'd say learning how to survive is probably a bit better in cyrodiil than in bgs but to each their own.

Undertaker set is buged right now and the proc ignore the 1 sec cooldown, so the best set is that with ♥♥♥♥ loads of dots or other type of aoe dmg. You'll be unkillable.

Been using warriors fury and ancient dragon guard on stamwarden, in bgs its mostly 2-3 shotting anything, amd with the heals you can survive against 4v1 or until your team comes to you.

On stamsorc, used newmoon or stuhn's with seventh legion, it deals huge dmg, but you wont take down 4v1, at least i cant.

What class are you ?

Call of the undertaker is currently bugged and will make most people ubnkillable against any enemies. But that will (hopefully) be fixed soon.

Pariah is a solid choice for any class since it gives a lot of resistances and great survivability when combined with vamp stage 3 for the undeath passive.

Healing proc sets have been quite nerfed since you need certain stats to reach good numbers so most arent really worth it, but there will be a few choices depending on your class maybe.

I'm running a warden right now, tried using Swarm Mother with Thews and Bloodlord's embrace blocking with magicka, and I must say, it's quite amusing to just yoink every attacker into the self-centered warden aoes. Swarm Mother makes applying Bloodlord quite easy too.

That bugged set might explain how some dude just didn't die without using any heal skills. I feel a lot better about my survivability. Not gonna use a bugged set tho.

Are you saying stage 3 is worth it? I am indeed a vamp but I only use it for the ultimate (and blood for blood for solo content and mist form for running through mobs that slow but that isn't PvP). The increased costs do seem like a big drawback.

Robes of the hist is a pretty good healing set for magicka. If your a stamden then you could even use master snb backbar, it will be big heals for you, it's a very good set. But I still think pariah is just a great option if you want survivability since then you can lose thews, bloodlord and swarm mother and go for better sets that increase healing and damage by a lot. Although I do actually like bloodlord, great sustain set ^^

As for vamp yeah the cost increase can hurt, but if you are already vamp and feel you can sustain then it's worth it for sure. Undeath is very strong, it's basically old major protection when your low hp, making it veyr hard to kill you and giving you time to heal back up.
