Getting Companions
Sorry if this has been answered. If you are just starting ESO for first time. Is it possible to get companions without spoiling story lines, and then jump back to main story quests starting with original ESO questline?

That way solo players can have a companion from very start.

I did not finish the personal quests for both of them yet, but I don't think there are main story spoilers.
You can just pick them up in Blackwood (both have a small quest you have to do) and be on your way.

Wanted to add: their personal quests might lead you trough regions that you have not visited yet, but I't take that risk as they not very smart, but quite helpful.

Thanks for that :)

ESO is massive and very overwhelming when starting off. This will hopefully help other new players too.

The companion stories have as far as I remember, not any main story spoilers.
As sarena77 pointed out already, they take you through different parts of Tamriel what as a new player you may not have visited yet.
But to unlock their story quests you must increase their rapport first and that takes some time if you aren't familiar with the mages/fighters guild dailies yet.

For getting companions you must own Blackwood. Here are both locations where their quests are to unlock them:

You can. Just start the comp quests from within collections - Allies and the two companions will be grey out and the "Get Quest" buttons are overlapped over the companion icons. Then just go to Blackwood and follow the quest markers to avoid any zone quest lines you are not ready for. All companion skills are done by doing associated quests elsewhere so going back to Blackwood to train them is not required.

Thanks all!
Yep i have acquired the two companions and went back to start Cadwell's Gold quest-line. Now I can play ESO again in order with a companion hehe.
