But I also had Unhallowed Grave dlc dungeon in which i was paired with 2 new players who I explained how everything works and we finished it eventually, but it took almost 2 hours. That's not something most people want for a quick random dungeon. But still they thanked me for the help.
Much lower chance of getting a DLC dungeon
Much better chance of getting good teammates
100% chance of doing enjoyable content instead of borefest.
I haven't queued for normal since years and I almost always get it done, it's very rarely that i get a bad team and have to leave. Happens much more often in normal. Trust me it's not worth queueing for normal just because it's "easier". I didn't even mention much better rewards.
It's to do with the level. After 45 you can get put into any dungeon, including DLC ones. Because it's random sometimes you're put in a dungeon you've never seen before and don't have a clue. At that point I was grovelling in chat, everyone was lovely but it was a traumatic experience :D
As a result of this I don't put any of my high level chars through RNDs any more and am slowly learning the mechanics for everything with one of my guilds. But that's what's happening to you - a bunch of level 45s having their first taste of a DLC with mechanics.
Yeah that's a possibility, but it would be good if we could choose an option not to do the dlc dungeons. I don't think that would affect the queue very much. In fact it might encourage more tanks to have a go which would be a win/win.
Doubt it. Most players don't que because the DLC Dungeons are included in the que and they either don't want to run a DLC Dungeon or don't want to risk getting into a DLC Dungeon with a lower level and having to struggle greatly or just leaving the dungeon, forcing them to have that 15 minute que cooldown.
Having these different options available, will probably encourage more players to que and use them. But as always, que'ing as a DPS will still probably take a while regardless.
