To work things in Cyrodiil at any time of the year, not just at biannual event, have at least 1 toon per faction fully capable of carry it's own weight beyond basics and find an instance that is overwhelmed by that faction; then run for it (so, stack in speed, resistance, and reheal). Since finding a suitable instance to make the run for it is not always possible, even having toons at all 3 factions, just check every hour or so, and if the wait is too long, take your chances at whatever instance looks the least bad to risk death-respawn-rerun.
For IC, looking at dominance of cities helps but is not as determinant of safety as in Cyrodiil. Such "dominance" may shift often, specially during both events, but is the only bet you have.
At both places, running w much more people of your faction--being them friends, guildies, or randoms joining together at a random time--helps. That's a zerg, and reduce the chance of getting assaulted for being alone of w few other shy ones that get slaughtered by some meta w their fingers stained in Doritos. Other zergs still can confront your zerg, even at strong PvE content spots like IC center circle, but is less bad than solo or go w few others.
Hope this helps you get your event tickets... but still try to gear up for some survival (e.g. resist, reheal, sprint, immobilize, deimmobilize, invisibility, undo, knockdown).
You mean Hakeijo? I'm curious cuz can't think of anything w the description besides that, except for the must have it for dungeons. Lemme know.
i was hoping for some nice skins or a nice mount but with whats on offer i wont even bother
and bis gear is for clowns that need help with overpowered gear because they lack skill and i mean that from the bottom of my SWG/EQ1 heart
Prismatic enchants on gear is mostly used in PvP and not in PvE,so it makes sense you can buy it from PvP currency.
Tickets are always good. Do 1 scouting mission at Cyro, then the arena daily at IC. Profit. Too easy. Cheating PvP requirement at it's finest. Thank me later.
I went to the furthest delve in pvp zone ( no CP ) from any enemy castles.
Inside was an enemy player sorc so i figured i would have a go.
Basically it went with me doing absolutely no damage to him, even with my biggest damage spell... nothing.
He wasnt even casting, hed just move out side the AoE but never was frozen from anything.
My bear was on him, I had all my area effect freeze stuff running, my DoT's and my big dps spell.
This went on for about 5 minutes until finally he got bored and 2 shot me.
Is this just massive all in to spell resistance?
How can a Sorc take next to no damage without even blocking.
I spent a lot of time getting gear and building my toon, sure I dont PvP but holy hell.
If I could build a Sorc like that for PvE it would be hilarious .
Is this standard for Sorc tank or whatever he was?
... and IC (2 from Cyro and 1 from IC), but lemme ease up the impact for you and all other pure PvE'rs:
- At Cyrodiil, there is an easy daily among all 6 at your faction base that is for Scouting. All you have to do is exactly what the name implies: scout a specific location, no matter which faction holds it or the distance form your faction base. Normally the "randomness" of the system will send you to one that is in hands of an enemy faction and not exactly near, like 99% of the times--If your faction has the map, then you get 100% chance of be of your own faction XD. Seriously, all you need is to be ready to remain out of sight and run like the wind to reach the location to scout, get off the horse at the farthest point that you get the prompt to fill a report and press E to write the report. Returning to base to finish and claim can be quicker and less stressful if you just die by ANY means XD... no, I mean it, I just don't like it. Can be either by fall, piranhas, or npc's, so you don't surrender your ego to enemy players >).
- At IC, pick the daily at Arena, don't drop to the field, and kill Daedra surrounding a victim from the comfort of the balcony where you got the daily. Many people do this, so you are likely to see someone doing it and even get credit just for being near them if you have the daily active. It's slow, as depending the faction you can do 2-4 at most per respawn, and you need 12, so is a waiting game (like 7-10 min per respawn of victims, I forgot). To ensure enemy factions don't get the benefit as well when approaching, kill the Daedra w your peers to hurry up... or don't, and let them try to close by for a free shot at them from above XD.
There, the secret to PvE the tickets at Midyear Mayhem :D. Trust me that ZoS knows and will keep letting it happen, as sooner or later all that action and blood will sink into you and go there do some PvP (after decide to get ready and build for it). Enjoy your tickets :).
