Where do I get 'Terne' plating or grains for Jewelcrafting upgrades ?

Where do I get 'Terne' plating or grains for Jewelcrafting upgrades ? Is there a way to reliably farm this stuff ? This is the lowest level jewelry upgrade material, yet it is going for average 1000 gold per plating and it takes 3 do upgrade even lowest level jewelry. So a set of lowest level jewelry costs at least 9000 gold. That's a prohibitive cost for the low level player that will often like to have at least green crafted jewelry as they level up.

Take down dolmans and get jewelry, go to jewelry table and Decon the jewelry.

Also rarely get it when mining jewellery materials and I believe the helper passive will get it for you sometimes if you want to invest a skill point.

Refining Raw Jewelry Mats will also get you random "grains", but at a rather low rate - and then you need 10 grains per 1 plating...

Much better to learn a way to make money and just buy whatever you need - or grind dungeons / trials to get gear for free(ish)

Oops, sorry. My bad. There is in the other ones so I assumed. I don't waste the skill point on these things myself.

Doing daily writs will also get you grains as well. Do it on mul;tiple characters for ~5k gold and materials and the chance as crafting node surveys as well as Master Writs.

Also, dont worry about upgrading low level jewelry. Your toon will outgrow it very fast. Better off throwing on whatever jewelry you find as you go, its just a waste to upgrade jewelry at that level.

Not at all a waste - can get mats from all my guys to do all crafting and make hundreds of thousands of gold for just logging in.

It certainly is wasteful, when it's that unreasonably expensive. I guess Jewelcrafting is meant to be an 'end-game' thing. It does have some value for completing a set in a pinch.

I also recommend this. And, decon what you don't use to grow your jewelry crafting inventory. Also do the daily jewelry craft writ.
