Noob questions - mounts

Hi all, Im super new to ESO. Wondering what the mount game is like? Do you really have to pay 15£ for a decent mount or cant you just unlock them as you go?

You can unlock some of them as you go. Some other you will have to pay for. But every mount has the same stats. A different mount has just a different look. I think, if you reach lvl 15 with your first character, you unlock your first mount.
Having a mount can give you same extra space for you inventory and travel speed. Therefore, you will have to take riding lessons. Just go to a stable master and level it up for 250 gold each lvl. It has a 20 hour cooldown.

All mounts move the same, they just look fancy. Find one you like and then save your $$

Free horse comes at level 10. That'll do to tide you over until you can save up for something you like. Also there's a chance to win one from random loot crates you get awarded and sometimes from the daily rewards.

You will get a mount for free at level 10. You can upgrade things like speed etc. in stables.

Don't forget to talk to the stablemaster to level up your riding speed. You can do this once every 20 hours. Start with Ride speed until it's lvl 60, then do your Bag upgrade for space then finally the Stamina upgrade.

It costs 250 gold per training per toon, so keep that in mind :)

Just for clarification - all your mounts on that toon. You have to start again if you make a new one.
