Is it still worth for tanking or there are better sets?

There are Far better sets since this is needed Synergies for a uptime + alot of synergies for 100% uptime and everyone plays the same class + race + skills as they are told to by Alcast not really worth it - run yolna or dragon
- run what ever you feel comfortable in as long as you maintain high uptime on ultimate, keep agro and can stack/crowd control properly you should not have any issues.
- Current 'Meta' set is Ebon + Yolna
- for more flavourable sets look on wiki for complete sets rundown but be aware they are in progress of being changed.

Alkosh is the best tank set for most content. While there are other options, if you're the main tank in a trial, you go Yolnahkriin and Alkosh. There is no better tank set. Ebon is usually put on off tank. It's easy to maintain the uptime, you'll always have an orb synergy ready since even dds are using it and it can be used multiple times, so to be able to proc Alkosh you only need a 2nd synergy (since it has a 10 sec duration but synergies have 20 sec cooldown) and you'll get it. It rains synergies in trial groups.

Ebon only increases max hp by 1000 while Alkosh reduces resistances by 3000 (probably more next patch with the changes to how the set works) and that's a huge damage increase. Much more than Yolnahkriin. So you either use Yolnahkriin + Alkosh or Ebon + Alkosh but you should prefer not to drop Alkosh.

In every nearly organized groups with people that aren't completely clueless about how the damn game works, Alkosh is an essential tanking set needed at all times. Next patch it gets buffed as well, getting even stronger.

I don't know what that one dude was saying, alkosh is a must have for most end game pve content. There are few situations where you wouldn't want to have your tank in alkosh, and often when that happens, like when range tanking lokke hm, you would put it on a dps instead, because thats how much you want that debuff. Its nearly impossible to get 100% uptime on it yes, but even with a 50% uptime, thats half of a fight where all dps is increased by roughly 8%, even more next patch. It's def one of the 3 major tanking sets.

I mean, personally I think Alcasts builds have always sucked, they are good for beginners who dont know what they are doing, but after that they fall short by a lot. That said, Alkosh, regardless if Alcast suggests it for a tank, is still one of the best tanking sets. In most trials you will have 2 tanks meaning 4 sets; ebon doesn't stack so only need one, for most trials you will have a main tank and off tank so only the need for one yolnahkriin, and galenwe is actually pretty good these days too, but after that the options are pretty much selfish sets or alkosh. For some content, a selfish set might be needed depending on the skill of the tank, but if they can do it without it, alkosh is your go to. Someone mentioned dragon, which really only makes sense as a selfish set, as staggering warhorns should keep the uptime quite high and therefore no need for for reduced ulti cost. Alkosh provides a 3k resistance debuff, and diminishing returns in cp means dps would have to sacrifice damage potential to get closer to pen cap. But yeah, like I said, unless a selfish set is needed, alkosh is the way to go.

I have no idea about the game and that's how I cleared almost all HM content, can pull 80k+ on Sorc without Siroria or pets. Obviously alcast build.

I still use Yokeda on my nb and Elemental Succession on my necro. Definitely Alcast builds.

Seems like *you* have no idea, not me. I recommended using Alkosh and you say "Alcast builds are not good"

Not worth it especially the next patch, Yolna farm doesnt take that long

Yeah, like Brownstone said, Yolna isn't too hard a farm, just do nSS. You could get lucky and get a lot of the pieces from chests between lokke and yoln, dont worry about getting perfected, the difference isnt worth farming it really, unless you literally have nothing else to do to improve your gear lol. Torugs is kind of a dead set these days, I dont really think it is useful outside of vCR where you have a third tank. Haven't looked at the changes for it upcoming with PTS, so it may not even be worth it for that anymore either.
