ESO "Purchase" Bug - It's FIXED! Here is how

After digging through some layers and pages of salt, threats and future law-suits. I've found a fix. It's easy. I hope all of you guys are doing well. Keep reminding yourself not to die of stress the coming minutes.

Go to your Steam Settings -> Downloads -> Clear Cache (its a button)

Afterwards your steam will relaunch -> type in your username+pass.

Go back to your library, it should be able to play and launch. Mine did!

Don't uninstall your game or you might wait the entire day for it to download again!!! Hope this works for everyone having a small heart attack today or yesterday.

It was fixed on Steam/ESO's end the fact that you restarted steam is what fixed it not the steps to clear the cache just so you know I did none of this and it started working again after they announced the fix.

It worked for me and not just eso all my other games are back to

So when steam did its maintenance earlier it messed up a bunch of stuff which they later fixed but this required you to restart steam client for it to effect your end, again all you did that had an effect is restart steam after they fixed it.

still didnt work for me, reinstalled, cleared download cache, restarted steam/computer, nothing is working

yes i got it working. but i did it differently then what i found on here. i went into my steam files and found the setup for eso and ran that and it fixed whatever i needed to open it threw steam again. but i did it more than once, i would say like 2/3 times without uninstalling the game.
