There are addons you can install to get a minimap on your screen, like "Votan's Minimap". I think I got all addons I'm using from https://www.esoui.com/addons.php
Master Merchant tells you minimum, maximum and average prices of items that have actually been sold by your guilds (the more trader guild you are in the better/the more reliabily the prices are) while TTC constantly downloads and uploads data of the prices items are being listed at by the entire community (split into NA and EU server it seems) regardless of whether these items are actually being sold or not.
I also use "AwesomeGuildStore" because if you are an ESO subscriber and have the crafting bag unlocked this addon allows you (amongst other things) to list items to sell in your guilds directly from that crafting bag without having to "retrieve" them first from it into your normal inventory. I really don't know why such small quality of life improvements aren't part of the vanilla game.
