It takes too long to start the game

i open the game from the icon and when I select start it takes too long to start or it doesn't start at all. I'm always on the loading screen.
Any ideas?

Does it hang at the desktop? Does it hang on trying to go to the opening splash screens? On the login screen? Or the character select?

Hang ups at different points can indicate different issues.

I push play and it automatically logs in and then it hangs up

Run the repair on the Launcher under Options

This game has problems - servers kick you out randomly in pvp and then cannot log back in. usually starts ok for me but it is just not stable in some areas. Poorly maintained on a shoestring despite all their content updates. If you can't provide a basic server that is stable how can you expect people to buy your product.

make a fresh reinstall and before you install again, make sure to remove any folders that might remain after uninstalling such as C-> users -> myusername -> \Documents\Elder Scrolls Online

I ran repair 3 times and it stopped at 74% then I pushed play and it was ok. I hope not to stuck again. Thanks for everything guys!
