Level 50 gear or CP10 gear?
Sorry to be ignorant, but I've searched & read and can't seem to find an answer on my own. I'm retired and alone so I've had the opportunity to play daily but casually for about two years. I play for fun and am in no hurry to max, reach "endgame", or whatever..I just enjoy taking different characters through different quests and environments. I have just had a character reach level 50 for the first time. I understand he is also considered CP10. I've read a lot on the champion point system so I think I have a good grasp on what is in store now. Well, here is where I am rather in the dark: -> I have a craftsman who can make L50 gear and also CP10 gear etc. What do I make for my character right now? His current gear is about 7 levels low and he is feeling kinda wimpy, so I want to make new gear. I know, some say don't worry about it until CP160 etc., but I want to do it. What do I make...L50 or CP10? L50 numbers appear to be higher, but that just might be relative to my craftsman and not to the character when he gets it. Again, sorry to ask and be so long winded but I wanted to be clear on what I am asking. Thanks for any help !

Uhmm, im a little confused. CP gear is by definition lvl 50, ie a cp 10, cp 50 or even cp 160 piece are all lvl 50 also. That being said, the values you will see on pieces of gear are relative to that particular character, so say you have a lvl 50 cp whatever toon, looking at making some sub lvl 50 gear for an alt. The values shown for the sub lvl 50 gear while on the lvl 50 toon will be far lower than the values they will actually grant your lower leveled toon. Also, if your looking at the difference between cp 10 vs flat level 50 gear, and the values are higher for the lvl 50 gear, then you arent cp 10, or your not comparing the same gear types - ie lvl 50 heavy armor will in fact have higher resists than a cp 10 piece of light gear.

Cp 10 is higher also the gears from now onwards you find will have something like this written "level 50 CP 10" or so.
Besides you're levelling so just slap on any gear you get from loot or quest rewards.

I guess I didn't make my question clear enough, but thanks for responding. I went ahead and did some "experimenting" and figured it out. Thanks again !
