Indrik unlock is so boring...
The awful thing about this game is the way it deliberately wastes the player's time with boring quests. The worst offenders are the dailies in the clockwork city which will have you roaming the wilderness looking for resources which literally disappear in front of you because if ANY player gets them, they disappear for all other players. The fact that the devs required you to do these boring quests as part of an event which made them even harder to complete (since it meant more people were looking for resources) just added insult to injury.

I'm so tired of the daily login bonuses, events that require doing the same boring busywork over and over again, and other sleazy tricks that devs use to turn games that people have already paid for into tedious jobs.

It didn't deliberately waste your time, it offers a reward to people who would do them for it.
You are free not to do them still. The bad aftertaste here is when you actually want the rewards.

I've done 4 dailies each day for the past 2 days. Still easy to complete them when the nodes are plenty available.

are you actually complaining about having to do a single Clockwork City daily for your event tickets?

games are entitled

Easy way on to get the tickets from the mount - do the world bosses/delve quests
So....the whole game is ruined because you have trouble getting ONE mount that you dont even need in the first place?
The priorities of some people...

go look at the murkmire prologue dailies, NOW THOSE WERE BAD!
and it had the same problem you're talking about now where you'd have to fight other players for obectives.

yes these dailies suck and for this event to be called a "celebration" is kind of a joke and just a way for them to resell the DLC because as far as i can tell there is nothing new from this event other than the tickets and the feather piece everyone is/has already been going for since the witches festival.

but at least is isn't as bad as the murkmire prologue dailies. now those were awful and theres 7 of them and it's connected to an achievement............

I'll take your word for it. I never bought Murkmire but yeah, this event isn't a "celebration" so much as an attempt to strongarm players into buying the DLC... which I did specifically because of this event but the fact that the dailies then turned out to be boring and the event actually made them worse since I spend my time searching for wood sources only to be disappointed at the last minute because another player ALSO taking part in the event got to them first (which makes it even worse to play with friends) makes me really unhappy.

I could deal with the dishonesty of their using a "celebration" to manipulate me into buying the DLC but then wasting my time with boring fetch quests that actually become LESS fun when you do them with other people was the straw that broke the camel's back.

Tip to game devs:

If you want good reviews, do NOT take your players' money and then deliberately waste their time with boring fetch quests after they already paid for your content.

Useless tip. You just paid for the original content, the devs went the extra mile to give players extra content, an event and bonus rewards for free. You are still not obligated to do them if you don't want to. It's easier to not be salty if you didn't care about the reward.

Really? I did the delves for the tickets in the earlier part of the event but according to the official page, the only way to get the Clowckwork City tickets is by doing dailies and the two dailies I have found so far are either impossible to do without a large group or painfully boring.

On that note, it wouldn't be so bad to scrounge for wood if it didn't disappear for everyone whenever one person harvests it. That little detail means that the game literally gets worse the more people are playing so tying a part of the game like that to an event designed to make more people look for wood is just... bad... game design.

It's not even exploitative it's just poorly thought out trying to be exploitative.

I guess a tip is to just camp one piece of wood if its that bad.

but yeah you're not forced to do the events.
.........................
but at the same time you are forced to do them if you want the indrik feather.
.........................
so yeah..... you're kind of forced to do the events.........

i think it's a bit unfair to just say "well you don't have to do them"
cuz you do if you want the feather for the mount.

so it's easy to be salty about the boring dailies when you think of a celebration those dailies are the furthest thing from it in my mind.

lots of ppl in zone chat so thats nice i guess.

but yeah most people are only in clockwork right now are only there because of the feather, the DLC is usually dead otherwise.

idk if the game is ruined forever now, but i can see why you'd be mad buying the DLC under the impressions this event was going to be a celebration of somekind and something worth doing and you run into those dailies....... yeah..... well it's not....... it's just the ticket and feather and i'm sorry you feel screwed.

at least you can do the story for the area whenever you want to.

Except the indrik giveaway is structured in such a way that you could entirely skip the Clockwork City event if you hate the dailies so badly. There are plenty of other tickets available, more than enough to get all of the indrik feathers, so long as you participate extensively in the other three events, which are more varied.

...and again, these are optional events for a free giveaway.

there is 4 feathers there bud. which means grinding out extra tickets on one of the other events.

and the events are not optional if you want the free mount. it requires you to grind. and it requires you to grind doubly so if you miss out on one of the other events.

But it IS optional. Key words being if you want the mount. Being optional is based on personal choice, and whether you want the mount or not is a personal decision.

You can just do the World Boss quests. The respawn on the extra stuff you need for these quests is fairly quick. Simply camp a spot until you have all you need. It takes about 5 - 10mins

There are more than 2 dailies but to get the others, you will need to complete some quests first.

Bursar of Tributes (Crow Dailies) - need to complete the 5th part of the main CC quest "Lost in the Gloam" for this daily to show up

Novice Holli - you receive dailies from her when you complete one of the delves side quests

I recommend taking the time to complete the main quest far enough to unlock the crow dailies as they are by far the easiest to complete for this event if you start collecting the items now & bank them until needed.
Items needed for the crow dailies are the following -

Ornate Armor
Trash: Carapaces, Daedra Husks, Ectoplasm, Elemental Essence, Foul Hide, Supple Root
Treasures: Cosmetics, Dishes or Cookware, Drinkware, Dolls, Games, Grooming Items, Toys, Utensils
