I don't why they hype it up as a year worth of content when they cut it up into extra paid DLC! They could just make the expansion 60$ and make the DLC into free content updates
wait for a sale, or buy it next year with crowns. thats what i and half of our dungeonguild is doing anyways.
well that would be a problem. take a look at the amount of things you get for a "year of x".
the chapter zone with the usual 6 or so delves and 2 public dungeons and one raid.
the dlc zone with less
and 4 dungeons with 2 dlc
thats... not really a lot of content compared to other games expansion. and if they sell all those things upfront, then theres gonna be a problem. people would finish those things in like a month and then what? the forums would be worst then the wow ones.
there simply is not enough content in eso to make the yearlong story a one-time purchase.
once you finish the story, all the zones have left is like 3 or 4 daily quests and thats basically it. sure, you can grind the new dolmens, just like the old dolmens. but there is a lack of incentive to do the zones once you have finished all the quests (besides the scenery. all zones are basically the same, but you can at least chose the coat of paint)
and for endgame players its already bad as it is. the one raid per year is a joke. and the 4 veteran dungeons really are not much either.
just pick any other mmo that does the expansion route and youll see, for that amount of money, eso is really not giving you much.
now if they would add content for the zones over the span of a year, like some new quests here and there with new dailies or something, that would keep players interested. thats what other expansions usually do. but then again, eso has to be fully voiced, and you simply cannot get all that extra voicework all year long.
they chose the financially safest route for them. enough people bought into it, now we have to live with that.
oh btw, seems like enough people bought that pack-pig with the 5 inventory space increase.
now we are getting a pack-rat with the same +5 for the same price. instead of doing something about the inventoryproblem, they sold us 5 slots and it was financially good enough, so they will stick to this one too.
enjoy....
Have you seen anything about the Antiquities? Many people find that activity awesome. Me included.
So it really depends on whether you love this game or you casually play.
If you're a casual instead of a hardcore player, nah, maybe during a sale.
or buy Graymore
Wait 100hours b4 spending more money on ANYTHING
