There is no reason to do the other Alliance stories.
(I havent done either AD or DC in four years playing.)
In the 2 PvP areas Cryodill and Imperial City the other alliance NPCs will happily attack you as will the other alliance players.
You can turn on Alliance markers in controls and just not interact with NPCs and players from other alliances. Or attack NPCs and Duel Enemy Players if you prefer.
It's weird when you have to kill your own people, but otherwise there will be no "Tamriel Skyshards Hunter" achievement
The Cadwell's Silver/Gold requirement is no longer true. You do not need Cadwell to play the zones of other Alliances. You can play any zone you want as soon as your character appears in Tamriel.
Faction locked zones would leave many locked out of chapters/DLC zones. I love the One Tamriel system, and I love the way players are scaled up until level 50, because it does not make the previously low level zones completely obsolete.
Yeah, that would be awful. I mean some prologue quests send you all over Tamriel for example and you'd pretty much be locked out of from leveling psijic skill line if you are in the wrong faction.
I've got an idea, let's lock people out of dlcs unless they've done cadwells silver AND gold. No, just kidding, that would be one of the worst ideas possible.
