How the heck do you level vampire skill?

I had a guild mate bite me at like level 1. I've had the first skill slotted this whole time and I"m level 12 now and I only have 1 in my vampire skill line. What the heck am I doing wrong?

Nothing, it takes a long time to level up the vampire line. Luckily I managed to max it before the vamp overhaul. Keep the vampire skill slotted to your active bar and overtime you'll gain levels.

I had it on my most active bar and it still took awhile.

Ok thanks. I actually really like that Vampires use health as a resource. It makes them pretty interesting.

''Nothing''...Genious advice you gave.. Just put it at your active skill bar,use ''Vampiric Drain'' everytime, and most important, go to Elsweyr and do Dragon Hunt daily quest. It's gives 3k xp per Dragon kill.

if you hover over the exp bar whit your mouse from any skill line it will tell you how to lvl up that skill line the lvl up by just slootin it and getin exp is only for the class skils

have the one ability slotted on the hot bar thats active the most and use that one skill every chance you get to level up fast, i had no issue leveling my vamp it went pretty fast for me doing it this way.

If you want to level up a skill line very, very fast, my trick is to keep that skill bar on the back bar, do ur daily random dungeon, then just before u get all ur exp, switch to ur back bar and all that exp will get soaked up by whatever skills you need to level.

Most people spend many hours leveling their Werewolf skill line, I spent maybe 5 hours total getting mine to max just doing this, just transform right before boss dies.
