1 - rage will kill you very fast ( no chance to ever heal ) : i use crit set, mist to reduce dmg by 70% cemetery for AoE, staff for AoE and mist heal me to plus dmg - dps still sucks )
2 - without rage all skills are junk if you compare to normal class skills or weapon skills - wasted slot
3 - vampire lord bats swarm is ok but short and very expensive ( werewolf transform got his own skills and least much longer )
4 - in 4 stage of vampire npc dont want to talk with you ( you cannot buy and sell etc ) you need to use mesmerise all the time and this is bugged ( 20 times to use before its worked )
But try it, i was hyped so much and now so disappointed
But really yeah just ask in zone chat go to one of the Vampire pedestals and wait someone will eventually bite you.
The player above you said go to the vampire pedestal... I want to become a vampire and I can’t find anyone to help in the game.
They turned the vampire into a berserker, I like it but I understand constantly having your hp drained isn't for everyone.
You have to constantly switch the buff, rage or whatever it's called in and out (pick the morph with the stacks mechanic) and heal but the damage out put you can do with, low hp and multiple stacks of the buff+evicerate(don't pick the morph that makes it cost hp) is insane and more then makes up for it.
I use critical surge from sorcerer (hp drain on each hit),the vampire ultimate drain and dark conversion to heal.
I use blood mist to safely start the battles by mesmerizing everyone, use the mesmerize morph with aoe, that one also works on npcs100% of the time.
The vamp transform instantly heals you to full hp, adds 20% damage to all attacks and adds 10 000 hp and also mana I believe.
What is not to like?
It's the ultimate "play time is over",panick button skill.
It can also be recharged pretty quickly while simultaneously healing yourself with the vampdrain.
Rage kills you faster then you can kill, so unless you are end game with a very specific set of bonuses it's worthless. You'll kill yourself faster then a single mob.
Vamp drain is nice, I especially like the morph that lets you regain stamina, but it's underpowered.
Mist is hit or miss on usefullness. You either love it or hate it but basically the times you'd love it you've already replaced it on you bar with something of more general usefullness.
Vamp transform though is nice in PvE, not so useful in PvP.
What I don't like about the vamp line is if you take yourself to level 4 to do say a trial, you have to wait 4 hours to get just to level 3 unless you spend gold on a potion that may or may not be in a specific guild store. That plus the fact that most people won't talk to you in stage 4 doesn't help. Sure you can use the thieves guild for some stuff, they'll always talk to you, but a lot of time even quest givers and stuff won't talk to you.
That leads to mezmerize. I have no idea what they were thinking with this skill. It's a CC skill, but it's short duration, meaning that it's more of an interrupt then anything. In PvE it's useless since most things I'd want to CC are immune to CC. In PvP like I said it's more of an interupt or a stop.
So basically it's a skill line that has limited uses over more general skills, more designed for magicka then stamina, and basically every single skill in the line can be replaced by something better from the more general lines.
But hey, the new feeding animations are cool.
