Steam ESO Add Ons

Dear Players, I downloaded the add on 'Research Assistant' and added this in to the live folder whilst extracting the files. When I log into the game this appears fine in the 'add on' tab in the settings but it doesn't appear to do anything during game play......is this a problem with using add ons through stream or am I missing something?

Did you make sure that particular add-on had no 'dependency' requirements?

This means that it may require additional addons in order to function properly. 'Dependencies' are usually listed near the bottom of the addon description window. Also...I strongly recommend using BanditsUI addon....it gives you so much more in the way of options for your user interface, including the chat window.(Different fonts, option to show @playername and/or actual character names, color options, etc.)

You're supposed to put the addon in a folder called "AddOns", which is inside the "live" folder, not just in the "live" folder itself.

But if you've already done that, make sure you don't put the zip file in, but the folder that's inside the zip file.

Check the above two recommendations first.

If it's showing up on the addons tab in character select, then it's probably a dependency. If you click on the addon, it should tell you what you are missing.

The only other obvious thing to check is to see if the addon is considered out of date. It's not going to work if it's considered out of date. Check the box "load out of date" addons.

Thanks for your comments - I've ensured that I've added the 'add on' folder within the 'live' folder and also ensuring that I've downloaded the two dependency apps (lib add on and lib research) . I've ticked the load out of date add ons but still no luck. When I initially logged in to the game a pop up appeared saying something about assigned the research assistant to a characted (so the game did recognise that I had installed the add on) but nothing actually is different about the interface.....
