Unable to load skin

I havent been able to launch the game for a few days. As soon as I click play it gives me the error 'Unable to load skin'. I have searched for fixes online and tried what I found, from changing the data folder to backup data, restarting my computer etc. The verify integrity of game files button is grayed out and I cant click it. I even went to make an account on their website to send in a support ticket.. but apparently my email has already been used to make an account, but also when I click to send me my password my email has not been linked to an account. What the hell?
