Eso InstallAnywhere Issue.

after 2 days of trying to get my none steam version of eso to work i found the solution worked to fix it, i was facing the installanywhere issue,


show hidden folders and go to

C:\Users\yourusername\AppData\Local\Temp\I1XXXXXXXXX\InstallerData\Disk1\InstData\Resource1\D_\launchers\winlivepub

keep going into the I1 folders till you see the launcher so..

:\Users\Yourusername\AppData\Local\Temp\I1something\InstallerData\Disk1\InstData\Resource1\$IA_PROJECT_DIR$\src_path\Launcher?

If yes, then go to Resource1\D_, and when you are in D_ folder, there's launchers folder, open in and there you should see folder called winlivepub. Inside that winlivepub folder there should be file called Bethesda.net_Launcher.

launch it to install.

now this weekend i purchased eso during the sale on steam and low and behold had the very same issue, after trying to resolve it all day i noticed in the zenimax online folder in steam the launcher folder was missing, so i simply copied the launcher folder from

C:\Program Files (x86)\Zenimax Online

to

D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\Common\Zenimax Online

ran the game through steam no more installanywhere! the launcher popped up applied a patch of 4gb and now it says complete> play.

posting this second solution incase it helps anyone i have had a nightmare trying to sort it.

if you dont have the ESO "My Account" version installed, either get the launcher folder from a freind or install it to another location first and then get the files as they are generated pretty early on in the installtion.

hope this helps people suffering the InstallAnywhere issue, as i have resolved it for both steam and the default installation doing the steps in this thread, also if you have it installed via steam and try to install from my account page and get installanywhere follow the procedure at the top first.
