The Elder Scrolls Online
Bought Eso from Zenimax can we continue to play through Steam after free weekend.
I own the elderscrolls online, but i never got it from steam. Now i downloaded and logged in the steam version and it asked me to link them with the steam version. I did that, but can i play continue to play the steam version after the free weekend is over ?

I would like an answer to that question too. I already have ESO but not from Steam, will i be able to continue playing the steam game with my non steam ESO account after the free weekend ends?
Would like to know about this too! Thanks!
Yeah a bit of clarification, please.
Ok guys what i noticed on Elder Scrolls Tamriel Unlimited page is this part "Requires 3rd-Party Account: Elder Scrolls Online Account (Supports Linking to Steam Account)". Everything shows towards the fact they did gave us the possibility to link ESO accounts to steam accounts, but when i check ESO forums for the same question i get this "Note: If your version of ESO was not purchased through Steam, you will not be able to link your Steam account to your existing ESO account without purchasing a new copy of the game on the Steam platform first." So those two things one on Steam and one on their official website kindda contradicts each other. Im confused.
Yeah I read that too first but I still tried to link them thinking "ok it's gonna tell me to buy the actual Steam vesion" but no, they linked correctly.
Now I'm afraid the account is gonna be locked after the free days.

My guess is, worst case scenario, we can still use our accounts, like before, with the non-Steam client.
Be good if someone could actually clarify this. So the question is after the Free Weekend those of us that have bought ESO before it was released on Steam from Zenimax can we continue to play through Steam or do we have to purchase the game for a 2nd time this time via Steam.

You have to buy the game in steam again if you want to continue play after the free weekend, same happend to me and I already bought the games in steam again. That is pretty unfair bro.
Does seem unfair especially as the accounts can be linked now so that you can use your original one
