whats the difference between force pulse/crushing shock and elemental weapon?
whats the best one to use in pvp and pve?

Force pulse will be more dps, but crushing shock is more useful overall. It's useful for both pve and pvp. The interrupt is gold during dungeons, arena, trials and pvp.

Haven't bothered with psijic line yet, but elemental weapon is an enchantment.

Crushing shock is the clear choice if you don't have any other interrupt available.

Elemental Weapon is overall stronger. If you look at the meta builds, they all prefer Elemental Weapon over Force Pulse/Crushing Shock

Depends on the situation, class and build.

In PvE, the current BiS DPS class is the MagDK. On MagDK you're using Force Pulse in combination with a pAS Inferno Staff.

The MagPlar on the other hand is mostly using Elemental Weapon.

Ah, in that case just run with Force Pulse. IIRC Elemental Weapon had a higher threshold, but I might be remembering that wrong. My bad!

elemental weapon is pretty hard to use, its elemental weapon-Light attack-elemental weapon-light attack.

I play with above average ping of 210-240. weaving elemental weapon is pretty hard if you have a high ping, some time I sweat it just dont register.

Keep in mind when you see posts about what build is highest dps, some people are essentially splitting hairs and the so called dps increase is sometimes minimal at best.

You should be comparing the dps and utility that various builds provide. If the dps increase is minimal or difficult to pull off, you should prioritize utility.

You can cast light attack before elemental weapons. Elemental weapon will still affect the light attack.
If you're using Master's fire staff from AS, use Force Pulse. If not, I'd use Elemental weapon.

It depends on the content. For single target dps on PvE content, Elemental Weapon is better. It also has the Orb passive from the Psijic skill line, which provides even more damage. Overall it's like 5% stronger than Force Shock I guess.

If you're supposed to interrupt enemies in PvE content, Crushing Shock is the clear choice. Destruction Staff skill line also gives 10% more penetration.

In PvP where interrupting an enemy is much more important than a 5% damage difference, Crushing Shock wins. Elemental Weapon gives a nice burst since it hits at the same time your light attack hits but that's not worth losing the interrupt in my opinion.

And there is Force Pulse, which is the other morph of Force Shock. It can be really useful in PvE content where you fight against multiple targets since the cleave damage is very high but I don't think it's worth changing a morph.

So my advice is to have both Elemental Weapon and Crushing Shock and slot them based on the content you're doing.

Most of the time I end up with crushing shock (talking PvE perspective). The interrupt ability is very handy in some content. Problem with elemental weapon is the lag. All the damage is from the light attack and if you miss it, you do no damage. So most of the time, crushing shock is the safer bet. And the difference between the two is very small.

It depends on how good your light attack weave is, if you are missing 1 in 10 or even 1 in 15 light attacks from elemental weapon then force pulse will have higher dps and it’s just more consistent for some time players

Elemental weapon is overall better, but with desyncs in this game often make weaving it unplayable for me so I usually go for crushing shock.
