by the way I don't really get the boring part, playing a stamsorc is exactly the same as playing a werewolf, since you mostly only use passive skills with a stamsorc, the only difference is that you use weapon skills while not in wolf and you use wolf skills the rest of the time, there is actually no real sorcerer stuff involved there.
On the choices left, 2 are for tanks (dk and warden) and templar might work as it's balanced but if you want an offensive werewolf and don't pick a sorcerer or a nightblade it's going to be hard.
When I go into a fight it's pretty much 5,4,3,2 and then hit 1 when needed. It also helps if your crit rating is above at least 50%.
I can do about 10-15k DPS to a single target or about 70K DPS to groups of enemies with this setup. Don't go by the Skill Advisor as they make some very poor decisions when it comes to StamSorcs.
10-15k DPS is really not that high, it's ultra low, even solo without group support. Even on a robust tank I often do more while buffing the group and handling the boss. I even managed to do more without any gear...
On my pure DD builds I sometimes reach more in single target than your AOE damage while reaching up to 10x the AOE damage you mentioned.
Or just go to a public dungeon with plenty adds (I have one favorite) where you can also stay permanently on werewolf form because of the plenty easy to kill adds and level it up in less than an hour. I think I even leveled both morphs of every werewolf skill in about an hour.
Ok (about?) 3 years back my damage was also only about 20k (not trial dummy numbers) and I still remember my first vet depth of malatar run and how bad things became at the second last boss (tank didn't stack the clones). That was for me the point where I realized that my damage was to low and started to increase it.
