To keep it short, yes, you need a crafter in your character list.
Mimic stones are kind of not useful at all anymore since the outfit station.
A motif purchased in the Crown Store is the same as one that is obtained in game. There is no difference. The only time you dont have a requirement is when you use it for a costume.
Yes. Sorry I just realised what I said was wrong. You still need the crafting level to be able to learn it. Even if you are just using it on a costume. Was remembering something else that was said elsewhere I guess as my main was already master in all the trades before this new costume system started.
There's no requirement listed in the description (you can see it without buying it btw OP, just hover the motif book in the package, you can also preview it if you click on it) for the crown crafting motifs.
