50 GB game update? [(Edit: 75 GB UPDATE) + 75 GB]
A new update has arrived. And the size of it is "50gb"? They must be kidding. Is there such a high-dimensional update?

Update: It's just a joke now. The update size 75 GB now.
Update2: I really hate it. It's over 75 GB and started downloading a further 75 Gb. So why? It would be easier if I wiped it away.
Edit: "Steamworks Common Redistributables" This error... And I started the "steam" all over again. AND UPDATE3: 500 MB

I think I'm gonna delete this game forever!

ok after a bit of searching on the forums, and had this happen to myself twice now.

I believe this is the cause

its not eso , its STEAM

chances are for people who had this problem, at some stage, steam crashed or was forced to shut down by the user or steam was shut down before it can finalise its game sync/cloud sync.

as a result, steam rolled back on its game updates, meaning all games on steam are rolled back to its first day or latest patch state, thus it will "need" an update .

for other games, you can simply do a verify game files, steam will relocate game files and you good to go.

However DO NOT do this for eso, as eso has its own launcher, if you verify your eso game files, steam will roll eso back to its first day release version, which means you need to download the whole game, pretty much a clean install.

all we can do at this point, is redownload eso since the last big murkmire/summerset patch.

also if you think after steam download is finished , you be ready to play, you'd be wrong, as eso launcher will again, patch and update itself too.

so depends on your internet speeds/cap, get ready for some epic downloading action.

This is ridiculous, Valve. Forcing 150 GB download for "future gain"? Thanks a lot. Can you please give official answer to your customers?

I thought I was the only one who had to redownload. Luckily I had the Steam Backup of the Base version. Ontop of the Base backup I had to download 20Gb more by steam. And some few hundred MBs more by the launcher.
Meanwhile I played ESO via a backup Zenimax Online folder using the Bethesda Launcher while steam was downloading. And I used the eso64.exe while the Bethesda Launcher was updating.

What nafig update ... STEAM client lost the folder with the installed game and decided that everything should be put again. At the same time he puts it wherever he pleases. This I had with Lotro, and with the Stronghold Kingdoms. But at least there you can do without comrades from STEAM. Now sit and wait for the 50 GB to pull out. There are no questions to ZeniMax - their launcher will pull out and install the missing very quickly.

This stinks, I've had to uninstall several of my games to make room for the update, I'm gonna need another terabyte for this...
