Inspiration is unaffected by XP. totally. Only ESO+ The CP inspiration buff or Orc Racial passive effects Inspiration.
" but my skills go up when i do Crafting writs!" That is because Crafting Writs return Both XP. and Inspiration!
XP. only goes to skills on the ACTIVE Abilities bar.
Class Skills say, Will gain more improvement when more of the same class skills are added to the active ability bar (mouse-over at the top of Class skills to see the exact wording)
Weapon skills are the same.
Armour skills are similar but gain more when more items of the same weight of armour (Light/Medium/Heavy) are worn.
Ledgerdemain is leveled by using ledgerdemain skills and does not benefit From XP buffs Inspiration buffs or even eso+
Many guild skills are similar
All skills have mouse-over information.
Quests give a bonk of XP in one go, so make sure to have the bar active that contains the skills you want to level. This will become more important when you have a bunch of skills that are already maxed out.
