question about DOTS

if fire considered a DOT? does Thaumaturge work on it?

fire damage itself is not considered a dot, however there are several abilities that are fire damage dots. Dealing fire damage also has a chance to proc the burning status effect, which deals fire damage every 2 seconds for 4 seconds. I know the damage burning effect does scales off of your spell damage, however I am not 100% sure if thaumaturge also an effect on burning status damage. I believe it does though.

i was asking because in the DK class i can set fire to enemies and i wanted to know if it scales of this CP skill

Dks dots are effected by thaumaturge, yes
