Any accurate way to check server population?
eso database suggest eu51% vs na49% however it also say s that it's "no indicator for real megaserver populations" so eh.

Is there somewhere you can actually check this?

Nah, they don't release that info. It being more or less an even split would make sense though. Few years back they said the same for population across platforms as well (PC/Mac, PS4, XB1).

If you're just curious about the overall player count though, they put out rough figures every yearish. Most recent one is 15 million accounts: https://www.pcgamesn.com/the-elder-scrolls-online/player-count

The only thing i'm interested in is the population on the pc servers as to know if eu/na is the way to go, depending on the connection I would very much switch to na if it was more populated for example.

I think they're most likely about the same overall, but if you have the ping for it I'd recommend NA. Some friends of mine from the EU region play on NA and swear by it. According to them, the pop on NA is better for when they play.

I've read the same, but what is 10-100posts against thousands of players, hard to say.

What can be objectively measured though is population, or it would be if we had that info :(

The population is alive and well, infact it's more active then certain MMOs out there. What we know is that more than 15 million people have bought ESO and the PvP map almost always has a queue on it. Now i'm not saying that 15+ million players are playing the game, no. Just that there is a total of 15+ million potienial users. Now considering how people are like and how bad the game was recieved when it launched. If we cut that number by half we would get 7.5 million players. Now if we divide that by 1/2 due to a good number of those player prob have inactive accounts. We will get a grand total of 3.75 million active players, if this is correct.

Thus there should be a total of 3.75 million active players in the game, which is more then most mmos out there on the market, including WoW. Which based on estimates has around 2 million active users. But again, this is just me spit balling here. There is no way to know that exact number unless the company releases the active population count, which i doubt they will.

Your point probably is to empty your thoughts rather then to convenience me but I would know population on each server.

I don't much care for the total population because as you said, it seems fine.

There is only one NA and one EU server, both are active and healthy. Nit picking the actual populations is meaningless.

Knowledge is never meaningless to the right person.

It's easy to change servers. Would there be a drawback to checking out both and finding out for yourself which you prefer?

Alot of people I run with play on both servers for various reasons.

I guess if you eventually do endgame chars on both and you play a lot and do the available group content frequently you would probably still have a very situational and bad idea of it but it would be something.

All I want is the difference in active players, the mmo I played the most literally had a list of currently active players, their class, lvls etc. even warcraft I think had some way to tell.. what a time when I can say even Warcraft.

Just go NA on PC. As has been mentioned several times already, there is no way for any of us to give you the information you seek. However, what I can tell you is that ppl who play on console are very happy when they make the move to PC because addons make a huge difference in the game - I honestly dont know how ppl do it on console without them. And I say choose NA because EU servers are notorious for having issues NA doesnt have, or far more severaly than NA has them.

How accurate is pingtestlive NA180 / EU250.. that's kinda horrible, someone tell me about your own ping to make me feel bad.

I guess i'm early enough to restart all i've done is the tutorial, ran around collecting nodes and got the professions base training.

the game should have some sort of player counter on each area you are ... the game world is devided by areas, so it would be rather simple to have a logged player number for each area, it would help players chose wich areas to play , if they like more or less players...
