Slow Loading Times
Most loading times in this game are just fine, where it only takes 1-2 seconds before moving on. Some load times are consistently way too slow, taking at least 20 seconds every time.

One example is going to Vivec City Outlaws Refuge. I often drop in here to sell/launder stolen loot, and it always takes an annoyingly long time.

Switching characters is annoyingly slow too.

Is there any way to shorten load times? Thanks.

Your load times are already very short, so I assume you're already playing from an SSD, have enough RAM and VRAM to keep a lot of textures stored, and don't have lots of other programs open while playing. The devs actually implemented a function that ends the loading screen after 2 minutes even if the textures aren't fully loaded (the game will then show replacement textures), so that people don't have to wait longer than that - which might give you an impression of the loading times that others are experiencing.

Vivec City is not only a large zone, it's also (usually) a place where lots of players are running around, which means that many additional textures have to be loaded, especially if they are wearing non-standard gear. I would expect long loading times when _entering_ the zone though, not when leaving it to go to the outlaws refuge. So the large spike is indeed a bit strange.

Right, since it's an area contained entirely within Vivec City, it seems odd that it would take so long to load.

You're right, I have an SSD.

That function sounds very attractive. Do you know if there's any way to make it activate sooner than 2 minutes? I'm more interested in getting things done than having everything at max detail.

I don't think so, but in theory there _could_ be a setting in some editable text file. But it seems rather unlikely to me. You could suggest such a feature to the devs in a support ticket - might just be wasted time, but who knows.
