Can't Create Account [RESOLVED]
I am trying to create an account to play, however, I am prompted with an error that says my email is already used. When I try to recovery my password, it tells me that there is no account created with that email address (the same one that's in use). I can't create an account to log into the help support website, nor can I create an account to get on the forums because of "an issue".

I tried syncing my Steam account as well, but when I try that, I am prompted to purchase the game before syncing the account. (I have obviously purchased the game).

This giant catch-22 is really annoying.

The only thing I can think of is that my ESO account on the PS4 is causing this problem. Surely I don't have to create a new email account just to play this game on PC. Has anyone else had this problem? and is there any way to get this resolved?

Trying to get a hold of ESO's help desk seems to be a difficult task.

Thanks in advance.

Try useing something other then Internet explorer. You cannot use the same info as your PS4 account. When i came from xbox one over to PC I didnt have theis problem.Or contact ESO support.
Good luck have an awesome weekend
Also do not use the email that you used with your PS4 account if you are thats the problum

maybe you are starting it wrong. there are different ways to do so. The wrong one will require you to insert your account/password (but you won't get one when purchased via steam). The right one (only possible when purchased via steam) will simply boot directly from launcher to char selection/creation without asking for credentials.
Try starting the game directly from your steam library. Does that work better?

Cyberblast,

Thanks for responding. I actually got it fixed. I tried launching from the library and it asks me to create an account. I went to the help site and created a ticket. It took about 12 hours and they resolved my issue.

The problem with PS4/Xbox players that start on console and then migrate over to PC:
There are some user agreement forms that you have to acknowledge before your can create an account. When you create your account on console, you don't have theose agreements and therefore you have a problem logging in. It's an account disabled feature. When ESO responded, they had me click a link and agree to these user agreements, and then I was a llowed to create a PC account with the same email that was used for my PS4.

I hope this helps the next user. And thanks to everyone for trying to help me as well.

The steps:

Go to https://help.bethesda.net/app/account_recovery/p_id/eso

Select "I Can't Log In"

Fill out the form with the information you know (for the email address on the account, use your PS4/Xbox registered email address).

I used my PS4 name for the account user.

I estimated when I purchased the game for the date (you could check your purchase history if you really want accuracy)

The address was the one when I made the purchase.

For the secret question and game activation code, I just put a sentence about being a PS4 user and I didn't have any of that.

Make sure you exlain your problem in the additional comments.
