the same apüplys to weapon enchantments and potions and buff food
Yeah when you start a new toon and apply the CP then you get a level 1 toon that can cakewalk through stuff that kills a regular level 1.......
I don't expect a level 8 guy crafting amazing gold glyphs, but they should not lose 1/2 the value of enchantment just because a higher level guy is now using it. If I make a sword that does 2000 damage it should do that damage no matter who wields it.
read it very carefully and understand that a lvl 8 char can b a master enchanter (if he collects skyshards for all skillpoints needed) but a lvl 8 enchantment will only be good dmg for a lvl 8 char and not a lvl 33 char, he needs a lvl 30 enchantment
This is because you don't understand how eso scaling works.
There is no damage value, there is no armor, there is nothing. Equipment doesn't have specific stats. What determines the stats you get is the difference in level between you and the equipment level.
If your level matches the level of the item, you have the full value of the item. Then for every 2 levels difference (or 10 champion level if you're lv50), you lose power. For enhancements (like glyphs, food, drinks or potions and poisons), it's always about 10 levels (the value is specified on the item).
To give you a simple example, pick a white rarity one handed sword. If you and the sword are of the same level, the sword does 1037 damage (that's the real number). Your level doesn't matter, the level of the sword doesn't matter. Only the difference. If you're lv 1 and the sword is lv 1 you get 1037. If the sword is lv 50 and you are lv 50, the sword is 1037 all the same.
Now if the difference becomes 2 levels between them, then it's 1025. At 4 level difference it's 1013, at 6 it's 989. if you are cp 160 and equip a lv 1 sword, then you get 156.
The table is fixed and every item has its table.
If you want to make glyphs with your lv 8 char that can be useful for max level players, you need a 50 in enchanting, pick the crafting passive in that skill line, and then you craft a glyph for that particular level.
