Btw never waste repair kits, merchants repair your items for cheaper.
While you're leveling up, your gear will become outdated quickly. As you overlever your gear, its effects get reduced. So just switch to gear from loot that matches your current level, instead of wasting gold on repairing outdated items.
Later on, you get repair kits very easily from crafting writs, and sometimes as login rewards, , so there's no need to pay merchants.
If you run out of repair kits and have to pay for repairs, you may be dying too often and may need to check your build. (Or you play for so many hours per day that the daily supply of repair kits isn*t enough, that's also a possibility.)
