how do i find the registration code?

If you buy the game on Steam, you don't get a registration code, nor do you need one. What were you planning to use it for?

redeeming it on my ESO account and seeing if it would just add the morrowind chapter instead of installing the game again through steam

You can't do that (snce Steam provides no codes). Morrowind will be added to your ESO account after you linked it to your Steam account. If you link your accounts, you will be able to log into the same ESO account with or without Steam. And no matter how you log in, you will always have access to all content on that account.

Yes, that should work. But better double-check by logging into your ESO account directly through the Zenimax launcher (not through Steam) after linking your accounts. If you have access to Morrowind then, it will be fine.
