Is it possible to change the starting location?
Is it possible to start somewhere not in Vvardenfel, but in the starting location from the original?

As soon as you land in Daggerfall you will be aproached by a Hooded Figure that will give you a quest to find the "Benifactor" right there in Daggerfall. Go and find the Benifactor and this will put you into the original game start from that point on.

Edit... This works for any faction and will put you in the right area for your faction quests as well as start you on the Main quest.

No, I suppose. That last update has changed the birthplace to Vvardenfell.

Nope, it's only a matter of what you own. If you only have the base game (before they added Morrowind in) then you get to the old locations, if you have Morrowind but not Summerset then you start in Morrowind, and if you have Summerset then you start in Summerset.

That said, nothing's stopping you from going anywhere when you get to a boat or a wayshrine.

No, but i dont think there is a reason to, because vvardenfell tutorial gives you a free skill point and you can do the normal tutorial from finding the hooded figure in a city
i really like the extra cutscene before it, it looks really cool

If you ever buy Summerset, any new characters you create will start in Summerset. There is no way they can do do the Morrowind tutorial anymore.

Most new players are totally confused by this Morrowind / Summerset starting location
Some people dont even learn there is a bigger world before quite a lot of levels

It doesnt really make sense anyway to start in Morrowind when you are playing a non Dunmer / non EP race

I really think ESO should allow people to choose where to start
At least, put a big tutorial panel at the first shrine telling people where to go if they want to play the main quest / alliance

If you finish morrowind (Vivec quest line) first and be whatever level you are will other main quests (like summerset and base game) adjust to your level or not?

Not in the way you think. The game never adjusts the enemies, only your character.

All enemies in the game are always at the same level, which is level 50 CP 160.

Your _character_ also gets scaled to that level, if your actual level is lower.

So if you do the main quest at level 5, your character will get upscaled to level 50 CP 160 and meet enemies of that same level. And if you do the main quest around level 30 (after doing everything in Morrowind), your character will still get upscaled to level 50 CP 160 and meet enemies of that level. The only thing that changes, is that the amount of upscaling becomes a little less (and that you hopefully acquired and developed some skills to make you stronger).

there was a free event for morrowind, now it is over, you cannot go there anymore without buying dlc

For example, if you decide you no longer want to do quests in the Ebonheart Pact you can go do quests in the Covenant or Dominion areas. The only thing you can't do is I think the main quests for those factions unless you choose them.
The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.
