Launcher issues?

I see people having trouble logging into the game. probably because of the flood of people getting back into the server.

However, my launcher starts, I downloaded the new patch, and when I hit play nothing happens. The game doesn't even launch. Is anybody having the same issue?

I am on a Mac by the way.

Same here. Hit play in launcher and nothing happens. On a mac.

Last couple of days, it hangs on the character loading screen. I've also lost several connections when in Battlegrounds.

early 2011 mbp sierra 10.12.6

also I do not get an error or anything. just the play button doesnt work.

Thats cool bethseda.. Game ran fine on my computer. Even bought summerset last month. money wasted.

Same problem here , click play and nothing happens ! everytime they patch something goes wrong and they keep screwing us up and i was thinking get ESO plus but not anymore .

Possible Fix: What OS are you on? I was on Sierra (10.12) and after reading forums just upgraded to High Sierra (10.13)
Play button worked and I'm on character screen now.

Real issue though is if Play button wouldn't work because my machine wouldn't meet spec there was NO indication of that at all.

Try running A REPAIR, found on ESO launcher under GAME OPTIONS, takes 10 minutes or so to run, then should be good to go.

I upgraded to High Sierra, now I get

ESO cannot start because your machine's Vulkan support is either insufficient or nonexistent.

they have discontinued all mac Open GL support for models released before 2015. They are pulling the "apple wont update Open GL on older archetecture chips" crap.. and simply telling us we have to buy a new system with the new apple chips. Its total ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ tho.. you can boot camp a mac as old as 2008 and the latest OpenGL drivers work fine. The first time i saw this was 2 years ago with Elite Dangerous.. but at least ED still allows for you to launch using the previous version of OpenGL, and they simply remove the DLC that requires the latest OpenGL. ESO is likely getting cash from apple trying to force us to upgrade perfectly fine hardware.

I hope ESO looses its entire mac community... and we should all be complaining to them.. but you cant even join the ESO forums unless you've been invited.. so they have a great way to keep us mac people off the forums and prevent us from calling them out on this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

your only work around options are install xp or up on your mac using bootcamp (dont us a VM that wont work, you need a real boot to windows) or... upgrade your box hardware and buy that 10k mac they want you to own. OUTRAGED! Steam... do something to these jerk devs!!!!
