How does PVP system work?

Its full of cheating. Some players cast five abilities in half a second, using hacks. Others makes intense use of lag switches, devices that provokes lag on purpose. Thats why PvP lags with only 10 players, while dolmen runs with 50 players are smooth. Theres also a lot of cover-up for cheaters, due to guild politics.

So far, Cyrodiil has been emptying of players, as everybody is noticing the constant, absolute cheating that happens there, with the cheaters having infinite magicka, infinite stamina, and even automated heals. You see the cheaters running around and sniping constantly, because they have infinite stamina. You see cheaters casting infinite healing, infinite meteors, etc.

Im all for dumping Cyrodiil PvP to the ground, and turn it into a PvE zone, provided that the npcs are able to do sieges. Its the only and final solution to the cheating problem.

I sense salt:steamsalty: Anyway I have never encountered a cheater in ESO and the PVP is very good although set grinds are boring. The lag that Wolfstorm has could be due to the particles during combat or his settings.

Please don't turn the topic into a repeat of this one:

I have played nearly 3k hours and have never seen any cheating. I am only a pvp player.

Pvp in this game is very fun, you can have massive siege fights, smallscale solo, or even battlegrounds like capture the flag type and domination, deathmatch ect

However, even though it's fun, it has a lot of issues. The game is very laggy, unplayable a lot of the time when the campaigns are pop locked, and it's filled with bugs. Also it's quite unbalanced. Some classes are stronger than others, although not as bad as other mmos I have played. The main unbalance for me comes from some sets and how they affect pvp, like bleeds being basically free and ignoring all physical resistsance, monster sets like zaan that can melt your hp to 0, multiple proc sets hitting you at once, skills like snipe having dysinc bugs and 3 of them hitting you in 1 second dealing half your hp in damage each, poisons ignoring all your cc immunity and making you useless to escape ect

nah he is just very bad and very dumb, in his head the only way he could lose is if the enemy cheats :)

@topic

pvp is a mixed bag, but mostly bad xD

cyrodiil: get zerged down or be in a zerg that zergs sb down, u have to find a server for ur zerg preferences, sotha sil = ep zergs, vivec = ad zergs, hvnt found DC zergs yet. on top of that during peak hours cyrodiil lags extremly, not only ur ping will go up considerably but ur fps will go downto 5-15 fps, dont mind the badasses that want to convince u they never experience lag bc they hv "good internet" or "beast pc's" they r liars :) zos is very cheap and refuses to upgrade their servers, atm there r 2 megaserver divided into 2 areas, EU and NA and all the world plays on 1 of the 2 servers, so if u live in russia, u still hv to play on EU server, where other games hv 2 servers for EU alone (league of legends for example, gives me a ping of 35 no matter if its peak hours, always good framrates no matter of there is URF mode apocalypse or not) problems r rarely user sided in this game, its almost always zos fault for beeing to greedy

imperial city, do pve for hours without seeing sb else then get ganked by a desperate nightblade or be a desperate nightblade that crouches through the city for hours until he finally finds someone to gank xD

duels, r ok-ish but here u can see the huge balance discrepancys in eso the best

battlegrounds is the best pvp experience u can get in eso, which doesnt mean it is good pvp, it only means its the best in eso

DC zergs are on Kyne.

Yes, Im so bad that I lead a group in the past which dethroned DC two times in that campaign.

No matter what excuses you guys use, someone who can cast five abilities in half a second, with the press of a buttom and no animation, and worse, in a time when there is no lag in the server, is definitely cheating.

kyn is below lvl 50 only... quite inpractical

ur second point just shows a lack of gameknowledge and a lack of will to improve, and to top it off u boast with nightcapping a map on a pupstomp server xD gg kudos to u xDDDDDDD

ok i'll bite.

I suck at pvp.

PVP is good if you like being killed in 1 second.

Maybe 2. But thats it.

PVP is brutal.

Can you see who killed you? no. why? they're invisible.

No really. They are invisible.

There are counters to this but what for? Then you 'll just see who's killing you.

Some ppl LUV pvp.

I am not.

I am 100% carebear pve.

and proud of it.

Its a good thing that the PvE community is becoming more vocal these days.

See this shield nerf, for example. I'm not a shield user (dont like the orb), but the shield was a deterrent to one-shot cheaters. If a magsorc encountered a cheater in Cyrodiil, the magsorc would cast his shield, and the cheater would cast his usual five abilities. The five abilities would hit the shield, destroying it, but the magsorc would still be alive, forcing the cheater to cast more five abilities in the following second, which would increase his exposure as a cheater. Cheaters dont want to be revealed, thats why you see all this constant denial by PvPers. But the more they deny, the more blatantly obvious the cheating becomes.

With the shield nerf, the magsorc will need a full second to cast his shield, giving a chance for the cheater to one-shot him. And this nerf came entirely from the PvP crowd, mostly from cheating nbs who complained the magsorcs were "op". Those who say it is a PvE nerf are lying. Its a nerf that supports the cheaters and protects them from exposure. Rest assured that this dont have anything to do with dungeons and trials. Its something that would not happen if Cyrodiil and IC were PvE areas and PvP was restricted to BGs.

Like I said before, I only saw cheating one time in BGs, and Im not even sure if it was really cheating or not. Fact is, in BGs the cheaters are exposed, their names appears in scores and etc, so it is unlikely they gonna cheat there, whereas in Cyrodiil its very easy for them to conceal it, specially now, with this shield nerf.

It's a glitch not hacks. All cooldowns are server sided.

Your private profile, lack of a profile picture, and your constant crying about "cheaters" should tell everyone everything they need to know about.

You are nothing more than a scrub who is ignorant of game mechanics.

Looks like I touched a nerve of the cheaters who post on this forum.

Very good.
