Is it possible to play solo?

Hi there i have tried to get many people to start this game with me but no one i know will give it a chance i love the idea of going into dungeons and exploring the world with people but i guess this will never be realit so i am wandering if it is possible for me to play this game completely solo as i have lost hope in playing with people

You will have to group up for dungeons, but otherwise can engage the world solo. The Main Quest itself has many instances that can only be done solo. You can join a guild and make new friends easily though, and the dungeons can be done through a groupfinder.

Most of the content is soloable, including the 'normal' (i.e., non-veteran) versions of dungeons, world bosses and special events. As Wendersnaven said, though, it's easy enough to group with others short-term if you're looking to do veteran dungeons or trials.

Even Cyrodiil which is PvP zone has tons of PvE content for solo players like myself-awhole lot of sneakin' around.

Mmm, every character, I dread doing the Cyrodil shard-run. I craft a Night's Silence set so I can pull some sneaky-pete on gankers and griefers.

I've played well over 1000 hours (not on Steam) and 99% of that I played solo. I keep telling myself I will get organised and find good people to dungeoneer with, but mostly I just explore the countryside doing quests and admiring the scenery. Most of the game can be played solo just fine, although it won't be the same as playing single player, because it's not like all those other people are invisible.

It's only once you start hitting late-game content such as veteran dungeons that solo play become impossible (normal questing is always soloable). Also PvP is much better with a group, so if you want to PvP a lot do ask around Cyrodiil for guilds.

You can solo most stuff fine. Even with mediocre gear I can do pretty much do all dungeons solo except for places like Direfrost that require at least two people to stand on floor switches.

Veteran dungeons are another story. Some of that content is soloable, but not all.

The solo playstyle ends at trials which are group/raid events.

yes of course. but then again no. it is very easy and possible to run the majority of content solo, and for the dungeons and group pvp arenas there is always the activity finder queue in your menu which can automatically group you with other players for the group content of the game. but also there are what they call trials and certain pve arenas are designed for really strong groups. yea, it's an mmorpg what are you thinking really? the game is not a solo game... so even if you run around solo trying to ignore everyone, random players will almost always be surrounding you everywhere. my best suggestion is to solo as you will but also maybe start your own guild and cyber-socialize a bit

Even when grouping for dungeons most players are good and helpful as well as I have noticed the community in the game is awesome! Solo is fun though and definitely possible!

Im largely a solo player. I have put in many hours and have enjoyed it. Also when I need to group up for a certain dungeon or instance it usually doesnt take very long at all to find a group. I also will sometimes pvp in Cyrodil. Its a MMO sure. But it was designed to let people play it solo
