Deconstruct everything you get while leveling.... This is the fastest way.

Deconstruct the highest level items you can get your hands on. If it can have the intricate trait, even better. Do the daily writs, they give good money and inspiration (crafting xp). Use the lazy writ crafter addon to make them super easy to make happen

If you have champion points, 30 in one of the thief (greem) constelations gives a bonus to inspiration.

Items that your character makes will give less xp when deconstructing than those made by other characters. (notice I said character, one of your other toons counts as a different character for decon purposes.

ALSO:

Start researching traits for wood, cloth, metal, and jewelry ASAP.

Blacksmith = Daggers, use the least amount of Mats and gives highest IP of all blacksmithing items. Ask a friend or someone in your guilds to be a crafting partner. Decon everything=adds to leveling up.

Coldharbour has lots of gear lying around near the crafting stations and it isn't stealing in an alternate plane of existence. Bleakrock Isle after the attack is also good because there are no guards. Stolen items also always give at least 1 mat. There is another town in the rift where most of the guards are gone after completing a quest there. Guild traders tend to have a lot of stuff and never turn around. The 5 outside Riften are easiest to rob. Mage/fighter guilds are great for gear stealing then deconstructing.

Also items with the "intricate" trait give more exp when you deconstruct them.
