Alchemy Writ Not Working
So my alchemy writ says to "Craft potion of stamina" as well as hold some wormwood.
I have all the wormwood I need, but no matter what quality of potion I make for stamina, it doesnt seem to trigger the writ.
Am I doing something wrong, or...?

I think sometimes the writs just get glitchy. I've had that happen several times with Enchanting. I mean, it's always good to triple-check that you've created exactly what is requested, but sometimes you just have to logout and back in. Sometimes it's the next day before I can try again and get it to recognize the item when I create it.

ah okay, I was just confused with it because it didnt specify what level of potion to make for stamina. I'll log out and see if it wants to work

Blessed Thistle and columbine plus leveled water. Water level is related to your Alchemy level, you may not have any. I believe there are 10 levels of water.

If it says "Potion of Stamina", then that is the level you need to create. "Potion" is the level - for example, a "tincture of stamina" would not fulfill the writ, since it's not a "potion". Use the correct level of water so that the name of the created item matches the name on the writ exactly.

I had something like that yesterday with Enchantment too. I was supposed to create some glyph and obtain a Jode runestone, however, that runestone couldn't be used to create the required glyph, I had to used a different one.

The day before that, I had the same problem with Alchemy, I had to create the potion using an online quide and different plants, since no matter what I tried, the suggested plant (Wormwood too, I think) simply didn't make the correct potion.

Why would you use it in the glyph? The writ consists of two separate tasks - the buyer wants you to a) deliver a certain glyph, and b) deliver a Jode runestone. The former has nothing to do with the latter.

There is no "suggested plant". Alchemy writs (like enchanting writs) consist of two separate parts: a) deliver a potion or poison, and b) deliver some ingredients. The former has nothing to do with the latter.

Because some previous writs actually required the same rune/plant to fulfill?

One learns something new here every day. Brand new players can be confused and overwhelmend by the wagonload of information to digest, some of it perhaps not entirely newbie friendly.

Thank you, I didn't know that.

Definitely. I remember meticulously micro-managing my recipe items (and blueprints, diagrams etc.), even creating a mule to carry all the recipes that had red lines in them ... until I finally realized, after weeks of playing, that I could simply read and consume those even if I _don't_ have the skills to craft the items yet ... ;)

Duh... You Sir, you just saved me from some serious inventory micromanaging headaches.

*goes to consume the contents of his item storage*

I think I will have to read through this very carefully too:

If you're not opposed to using add-ons, there are a bunch of writcrafting assists that are super useful. Potion Maker will actually pull in the potion ingredients from inventory so you can fullfil a quest (aka writ) if you let it. I never have to wonder which water to use again LOL
