Race choice

I wanna create a magicka dps templar
And i read rly lots of different forums discussion, but i cant make a final choice:
Altmer or Dunmer?

Altmer works very well for me.

Altmer have 4% bonus to fire, frost and lightning damage. Dunmer have 7% bonus to fire damage. Templar have some fire abilities, but don't have abilities with lightning or frost damage. So, dunmer is better for magicka dps templar then altmer.

[Crixus]

For pve an altmer (High elf) gives the best passives in my opinion. Good damage, high max mag and mag recovery.

For pvp I think an argonian is best, due to amazing sustain and surivability while having a little extra mag too.

Altmer is a safe choice, always great for magicka builds
Cant go wrong with Altmer

Dunmer is good for templar too
Templar abilitiest are magic with some being fire, Dunmer is better there as DPS
Dunmer can switch to stamina build without being too gimped and the extra stam helps anyway, even for magicka builds
Fire resist helps a bit in general and as vampire if you go this way
Sustain is not as good

There is also Argonian and Breton to consider

Because of the magicka reduction passive, I see the Breton option being brought up as the most effective. The altmer more or less break even with Breton when you compare all passives.

Argonian is the choice to pick if you want to concentrate on healing.

As mentioned above, Dunmer (or imperial) can be used if you switch back and forth from magicka to stamina.
